ORDINANCE NO. 2033 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCFS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TFxAS, BY R EVISING SECTIONS 11-11, 11-13(b) AND 11-38; SDCTION 11-11, CHANGING THE TIME WITHIN WHICH AN IN- SPECTION WILL BE CONDUCTED UPON NOTIFICATION TO THE ELECTRICAL INSP DCTOR FROM FOUR (4) HOURS TO TWENTY-FOUR (24) HOURS; SDCTION 11-13(b), INCRFASING THE COST OF EXTRA INSPBCTIONS FROM TWO DOLLARS ($2.00) TO TEN DOLLARS ($10.00); AND SBCTION 11-38, INCRFASING THE EL DCTRICAL CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE BOND FROM FIVE HUNDR ED DOLLARS ($500.00) TO ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00); PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXC EED TWO HUNDR ED ($200.00) DOLLARS; REPFAt.ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROV]IING FOR AN EFFFCTIVE DATE OF JULY 31, 1971. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TFXAS: Section l. That Section 11-11 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that the first sentence of such shall read as follows: "Section 11-11. Inspection and approval of new work generally. Upon the completion of the installation of any electrical wiring, device or equipment for which a permit is required by this chapter, it shall be the duty of the person installing the same to notify the electrical inspector and the inspector shall inspect the installation within twenty-four (24) hours after notice is given." The remainder of said paragraph shall remain the same. Section 2. That Section 11-13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that Sub- paragraph (b) shall read as follows: "Section 11-13. Permit and inspecti on fees. (b) In the event extra inspections are made necessary because the work is rejected on the first inspection, a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be charged for each such extra inspection." Section 3. That Section 11-38 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Section 11-38. Applicant's bond. Each applicant for a license under this article shall execute and deliver to the city clerk for approval a bond in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), with a surety company authorized to do business in this state, as surety thereon. Such bond shall be conditioned for the faithful comple- tion of all work entered upon or contracted for in strict accordance with the terms an d requirements of this chapter."
