THENC E in a Northerly direction with the East <br />Boundary Line of U. S. Highway 271 as follows: <br />N 310 15' W a distance of 74.2 feet; <br />N 4° W a distance of 115 feet to a stake for <br />corner; <br />THENC E S 85° E along the North Boundary Line <br />of said Bell tract a distance of 200 feet to a <br />point; <br />THEIVCE S 4° E a distance of 175 feet along the <br />East Boundary Line to the South East Corner of said <br />Bell tract, which point lies in the present City <br />Limit Line; <br />THENCE N 85° W along the present City Limit <br />Line and the North Boundary Line of Stone Avenue <br />a distance of 165 feet to the place of beginning <br />and containing 0.78 acres. <br />was held at Paris, Texas, on the llth day of October, 1971, <br />which date is not more than twenty nor less than ten days prior <br />to the institution of annexation proceedings; and, <br />WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in <br />a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Paris, <br />Texas, and in the above described territory, on the 24th day <br />of September, 1971, which date is not more than twenty not less <br />than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing; and, <br />WHEREAS, the total corporate area of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, on the first day of January, 1971, was <br />11,597.5040 acres; and, <br />WHEREAS, the population of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, is in excess of 5,000 and less than 25,000 inhabitants; <br />and, <br />WHERFAS, the above described territory lies within the <br />extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas; and, <br />WHER EAS, the above described territory lies adjacent to <br />and adjoins the City of Paris, Paris, Texas; and, <br />WHEREAS, the above described territory contains 24.95 <br />acres in Tract 1 and 0.78 acres in Tract 2 for a total of 25.73 <br />acres, more or less, which when added to other property annexed <br />in the year 1971 is less than ten per cent (10%) of the present <br />acreage contained in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, <br />Texas; and, <br />WHIIZEAS, the above described territory should be pro- <br />perly zoned as of the date of annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />
