ORDINANC E NO. 2082 AN ORDINANC E OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TExAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SDCTION 11-73; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE NATIONAL ELDCTRICAL CODE, 1971 EDITION, PUBLISHED BY THE NATIONAL FIR E PROTECTION ASSOCIATION; REPEALING ALL OR DINANC FS OR PARTS OF ORDINANC ES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN FFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 1, 1972. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Section 11-73 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Section 11-73. National Electrical Code adopted as minimum standards. For the purpose of practical safeguarding of persons and of buildings and their contents from hazards arising from the use of electricity for light, heat, power, radio, signalling a,nd for other purposes, that certain Electrical Code known as the National Electrical Code, 1971 edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, to- gether with all subsequent amendments thereto, is hereb.y adopted as the minimum standards for the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, with regard to the installa- tion of all electrical wiring, devices and equip- ment, except where the same is in conflict with specific provisions of this Chapter 11 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, and in that event the specific provisions of Chapter 11 shall go ver n . " Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on April 1, 1972.
