Regular City Council Meeting <br />April 5, 2001 <br />Page 11 <br />Manager of Quality Homes, 300 N. E. Loop 286, appeared before the City <br />Council advising that she was speaking as an agent for Calvin Gibson, owner <br />of the property. Ms. Green said they have recently rezoned the property next <br />to this property and placed a manufactured home it, and Mr. Gibson has been <br />trying to sell this property for sometime and felt that with a ma nufactured <br />home on the lot, it will sell. Ms. Green emphasized that this will enhance the <br />neighborhood. <br />Mayor Pfiester called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-019 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CH ANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY <br />THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />D ISTRICT NO. 3 (SF-3) WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOM E S <br />LIMIT E D TO DOUBLE WIDE MANUFACTURED HOMES ONLY ON LOT 33, CITY <br />BLOCK 160, AS REQ UESTED BY TAMMIE GREEN, AGENT FOR CALVIN <br />GIBSON OWNER, SO AS TO IN C LUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY <br />DESIGNATED AS A TWO-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F); DESIGNATING <br />THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF-3) <br />WITH SPECIFIC USE PERMIT (39) MOBILE HOM ES LIMITED TO DOUBLE <br />WIDE MANUFACTURED HOMES ONLY SO ESTABLISHED; PROVIDING FOR <br />A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY 1, 2001, WAS PRESENTED. <br />After disc ussion, a motion was made Councilman Bell, seconded by <br />Councilman Gray, for adoption of the ordinance with the stipulation o f the <br />placement of a double wide m anufactured home on the lot. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Pfiester declared the public hearing open to consider the petition of <br />George Fisher for a change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. <br />2 (SF-2) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lots 7 and 8, Block 7, Springlake <br />Addition; Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block 8, Springlake Addition; and Lots 6, <br />
