ORDINANCE NO. 1905 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE <br />HOME PARK; DEFINING TERMS; PROVID:ING FOR THE ISSU- <br />ANCE OF A MOBILE HOME LICENSE; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />REVOCATION; PROVIDING FOR FEES; PROHIBITING THE USE <br />OF MOBILE HOMES WITHOUT A PERMIT; PROVIDING FOR A <br />FINE NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCFS <br />IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 23, 1969. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />SDCTION I- DEFINITIONS: As used in this ordinance: <br />(a) "Natural or artificial barrier" means any river, pond, canal, <br />railroad, levee, embankment, fence or hedge. <br />(b ) "Park" means mobile home park. <br />(c) "Person" means any natural individual, firm, trust, partner- <br />ship, association or corporation. <br />(d) "Mobile home" means any vehicle or similar portable structure <br />in excessaf eight feet in width having no foundation other <br />than wheels, jacks, blocks, or skirtings, and so designed or <br />constructed as to permit occupancy for dwelling or sleeping <br />purposes. <br />(e) "Independent mobile home" means a mobile home which has a <br />flush toilet and a bath or shower. <br />(f) "Dependent mobile home" means a mobile home which does not <br />have a flush toilet and a bath or shower. <br />(g) "Travel trailer" means any vehicle or similar portable struc- <br />ture 8 feet wide or less, having no foundation other than <br />wheels, jacks, blocks or skirtings, and so designed or con- <br />structed as to permit occupancy for dwelling or sleeping <br />purposes. <br />(h) "Mobile home park" means any plot of ground upon which one or <br />more mobile homes, occupied for dwelling or sleeping purposes <br />are located, regardless of whether or not a charge is made <br />for such accommodation. <br />(i) "Mobile home space" means a plot of ground within a mobile <br />home park designed for the accommodation of one mobile home. <br />SECTION II - PERMIT FOR PARKING OUTSIDE OF MOBILE HOME PARK. <br />(a) It shall be unlawful within the corporate limits of the City <br />of Paris, Texas, for any person to park any mobile home of <br />any kind on any street, alley, highway or other public place <br />in the corporate limits of the City of Paris, Texas. <br />(b) No mobile home shall be parked, used or occupied on any tract <br />of ground within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, <br />Texas, except as provided in this ordinance. <br />
