ORDINANC E NO. 1911 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ES- <br />TABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; FSTABLISHING A <br />GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR) ON A TRACT OF LAND ON THE NORTH <br />SIDE OF CLARKSVILLE STREET AND THE WEST SIDE OF 24TH STREET, <br />S. E., BEING A PART OF LOT 1, LOT 2, AND A PART OF LOT 5, IN <br />BLOCK 2 OF THE STELLROSE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PARIS, ON <br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO EFFIE RUSSELL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />NO. 2(SF-2); DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIFS OF THE GENERAL RETAIL <br />DISTRICT (GR) SO ESTABLISHED; AND PLACING THE PROPERTY HEREIN <br />INVOL VED IN THE FIR E LIMITS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established <br />by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a <br />General Retail Ii3trict (GR), be, and the same is hereby es- <br />tablished on a tract of land on the North Side of Clarksville <br />Street and the West Side of 24th Street, S. E., being a part <br />of Lot l, Lot 2, and a part of Lot 5, in Block 2 of the <br />Stellrose Addition to the City of Paris, on property belonging <br />to Effie Russell, so as to include in such General Retail <br />District (GR) the hereinafter described property, which was <br />formerly and is presently designated as a One-Family Dwelling <br />District No. 2(SF-2), and that the boundaries of the said <br />General Retail District (GR), be, and the same are hereby es- <br />tablished as follows: <br />Situated in Lamar County, Texas, a part of the <br />George W. Cox Survey, within the corporate limits <br />of the City of Paris, and being a part of Lots 1, <br />2 and 5 in Block 2 of the Stellrose Addition to <br />the City of Paris; <br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the North Boundary <br />Line of Clarksville Street with the West Boundary Line <br />of 24th St. S.E.; <br />THENCE NORTH with the West Boundary Line of 24th <br />St. S.E., 232.3 feet a stake, B. P. Denney's Southeast <br />corner; <br />THENCE WEST with B. P. Denney's South Boundary Line, <br />128.8 feet, Denney's Southwest corner; <br />THENC E SOUTH 173.4 feet a stake in the North <br />Boundary Line of Clarks ville Street; <br />THENCE S. 650 30 Min. Ea,st with the North Boundary <br />Line of Clarksville Street, 140.2 feet, to the place <br />of beginning. <br />LESS that portion out of the Southeast corner <br />thereof heretofore zoned by the City of Paris for <br />commercial purposes and presently occupied by a Gulf <br />Service Station. <br />Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, <br />be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the <br />City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance <br />No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in <br />accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br />
