DIVISION I <br />l. MATERIALS <br />1. CONCRETE• <br />Concrete used o this project shall meet the requirements as <br />specified in ITEM 421 CONCRETE FOR STRUCTURES in the latest <br />editions of Standard Svecifications for Construction of Highways <br />Streets and Bridges issued by the Texas Department of <br />Transportation. <br />Concrete shall be of the class shown on the drawings. <br />1.2 REINFORCING STEEL: <br />Reinforcing steel used on this project shall meet the <br />requirements as specified in ITEM 440 REINFORCING STEEL in the <br />latest edition of Standard Specifications for Construction of <br />Hi hways, Streets and Bridges issued by the Texas Department of <br />Transportation. <br />Reinforcing steel shall be of the type and grade shown on <br />the drawings. <br />1.3 LIME STABILIZATION: <br />Lime Stabilization used on this project shall meet the <br />requirements as specified in ITEM 260 LIME TREATMENT FOR <br />MATERIALS IN PLACE in the latest edition of Standard <br />Specifications for Construction of Highways, Streets and Bridges <br />issued by the Texas Department of Transportation. <br />All areas to be lime stabilized shall be grassed off and if <br />needed adjusted to grad borrow material obtained from off-site. <br />Type A hydrated lime is required. Slurry or dry placement <br />are both acceptable and shall be accomplished in accordance with <br />Item 260 referenced above. <br />Payment for lime stabilization is incidental and shall be <br />included in price bid for paving. <br />69 <br />
