ORDINANCE NO. 1944 <br />AN ORDINANC E AMENDING ORDINAFE~NO~D9 S ECTI ONT1o11, BY R' <br />CHANGING THE SCHEDULE OF POUNDAG 1 QUIRING THE NOTICE OF SALE OF T-IVF-SI~EKNOT TOCEXCEED TwpLA- <br />AND DATE OF SALE; PROVIDING FOR <br />DRED ($200.00) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />OF FEBRUARY 12 1970. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That Ordinance S°~oi9o132 ws:Section 71 unnumbered <br />paragraph 11 be amended to read a <br />}tThe following shallbe the fees charged as poundage for <br />the impoundment of animals under Section 5: <br />(1) For impounding livestock and other animals, per <br />head, $5.00; t dogs and <br />(2) For care of livestock and animals, excep <br />cats, per head, per day, $2•00; $1.00• <br />(3) For care of dogs or cats,per head: Per he day, ~ <br />actual cost <br />(4) Additional cost for impounding <br />expended. <br />(5) For newspaper advertisements, the actual cost ex- <br />pended." <br />Section 2. That Ordin~ach 2° 1913, 11, asefollows- <br />sentence of unnumbered parag p , <br />+lUpon impoundment of livestock, the chief of police shall <br />within three (3) days after such animal has been impounded post <br />three notices, one at the County Courthouse, one at the City <br />Hall and one at the place where such animal shall be impounded, <br />giving therein a full description of the animal, stating the <br />place of sale and the date of the sale, which date sha~~lSbChnot <br />less than five (5) days from the date of the postin auction <br />notice, and any such animal sold shall be sold at public <br />to the highest bidder for cash." <br />Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con- <br />viction shall be fined in any sum not exceedviolationushall con- <br />($200.00) Dollars, and each and every day <br />stitute a separate and distinct offense. <br />Section 4.
