J ORDINANCE NO. 1948 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1531; AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PRFSCRIBING RATFS AND CHARGES FOR LOCAL EXCHANGE TELEPHONE SERVICE FURNISHED BY THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEC- TIVE DATE OF MARCH 1) 1970. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TF.xAS: Section 1. That Southwestern Bell Telephone Company be authorized to place into effect on the first billing date after the 1st day of March, 1970, the following schedule of rates for local exchange telephone service in the Paris Exchange, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the City of Paris and the franchise granted to said Company by said City, to-wit. Class of Service Monthly Rate Business One Party Flat Rate $13.00 E)ctension Business Flat 1.75 Residence One Party Flat Rate 6.25 Residence 1'vo Party Flat Rate 4.65 Extension Residence Flat 1.25 Private Branch Exchange - Commercial Stations 1.75 Trunks (a) Private Branch Exchange - Hotel Stations 1.00 Trunks (b) Semi-Public Coin Box - Guarantee Per Day .32 Local Messages Under Guarantee-each .10 Local Messages Over Guarantee-each .08 3j4 Coin Telephone Charge per Local Message .10 Extension Business Semi-Public Coin Equipped 1.75 Non-Coin Equipped 1.25 Miscellaneous Service (c) (a) The rate for flat rate PBX trunk is one and one- half times the rate for one party business flat rate service. (b) Minimum local message revenue guarantee equal to business one party flat rate for each trunk. (c) Company standard rates to be applied to all types of miscellaneous equipment and services not listed above. (Miscellaneous IX to be effected). Section 2. All ordinances heretofore passed by the City Council of the City of Paris establishing rates and charges for telephone service are hereby repealed effective with the es- tablishment of the rates authorized in Section 1 above.
