ORDTNANCE NO. ~1964 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, 1'ARIS, TEXAS, AND THE <br />ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TEFZRITORY CONSISTING OF 50.31 ACRES, <br />MORE OR LESS, VJHICH IS LESS TFAN TEN PER CENT (10%) OF THE <br />TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID <br />TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND AAJOINS THE PRESENT BOUNDARY <br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TExAS. <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council of the <br />City of Paris, Paris, Texas, where all interested persons were <br />provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed <br />annexation of the following described property: <br />Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Texas, <br />and described as follows: <br />Beginning in the present City Limits Line that now <br />exists in the South Right-of-Way Line of State Highway <br />Loop 286 N.W., as described in Annexation Ordinance No. <br />1617, dated February 11, 1963, Tract #2, said point <br />being 1996.4 feet more or less in a Southwest direction <br />with the South Right-of-Way Line of Loop 286 F.M. r79e <br />Southwest corner of the Leg of State Highway , <br />and also being the Northwest corner of a tract of land <br />conveyed by the City of Paris to the Paris Texas <br />Industrial Foundation, Inc., now owned by the Southeastern <br />Rubber.Company, of which the Foundation Tract is recorded <br />in Volume 360, Page 238, Deed Records of Lamar County, <br />Texas. <br />THENC E South 220 00 East with the West Boundary Line <br />of the Rubber Company Tract 874.8 feet to the Southwest <br />Corner of said tract in the North Line of a 50 foot strip <br />of land reserved by the Industrial Foundation for a <br />railroad spur. <br />THENCE North 68000 East with the South Boundary Line <br />of the Rubber Company Tract 1054.5 feet more or less to <br />a point in the North Line of the Right-of-Way of the <br />Industrial Spur, said point being an extension of the <br />West Boundary Line of Tract of Land owned by L. B. B. <br />Corporation, and of which a description of said tract is <br />recorded in Volume 360, Page 321, Deed Records of Lamar <br />County, Texas. <br />THENCE South 51 feet more or less to the South Right- <br />of-Way Line of the Industrial Spur, and being the North- <br />west corner of the L. B. B. Tract and continuing on South <br />288.5 feet to the Southwest Corner of said L. B. B. Tract <br />and the Northwest Corner of a second L. B. B. Tract of <br />Land described in Volume 367, Page 491, Deed Records of <br />Lamar County, Texas, and continuing on South with the <br />West Boundary Line of the L. B. B. Second Tract for an <br />additional 213 feet to the Southwest corner of the <br />L. B. B. Second Tract, a corner in the North Boundary <br />Line of a tract of land now owned by the Paris <br />Industrial Foundation. <br />THENCE East with the South Boundary Line of the <br />L. B. B. Second Tract 710 feet to a point 5 feet West <br />of the West Boundary Line of 19th Street N. W. (F..M. 79). <br />
