ORDINANCE NOo 1800 . AN ORDINANCE FIXING THEDATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PRO- PERTY ON WEST PLUM STREET, BEGINNING AT THE W. B, LINE OF 19TH 5TREET, N. W. AND EXTENDING WEST TO THE E. B. LINE OF 24TH STREET,, N.W.9 IN THE CITY OF PARISt TEXAS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO PUBLISH THE 5AME THREE (3) TIMES IN THE PARIS NEWS AS REQT:7IRED BY LAW; APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE FINAL ESTIMATE OF THE COSTS OF SUCH STREET IMPROVEMENT5 AS FILED BY THE CITY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; FIXING THE CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS ANDTHE CHARGES TO BE PAID BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND WITH THE INTENTION OF FIXING A CHARGE AND LIEN AGAINST SAID PROPERTY AND THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS THEREOF. BE IT ORI]AINED BY THE CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the City Council didi on the 12th day of September, 19663 by Ordinance No. 1794, declare the necessity for the improvement of W est Plum Street, by the installation of a six inch (611) soil stalxdization asphalt base with two courses of asphalt penetration for surfacea from the W. B. Line of 19th Street9 N. W. and extending W est to the E. B. Line of 24th Street, N.W.' and did then and there request the Gity Engineer to pro- ceed with said work, and directed the City Clerk to file a notice of the lien to be claimed on the property belonging to the abutting property owners, which notice was filed by the City Clerk on the 15th day of September,, 1966, in the Office of the County Clerk of Lamar County„ Texas. Section 2. That the City Engineer has reported to the City Council the costs of the improvements of the six inch (611) soil stabilization asphalt base street with two courses of asphalt penetration for surface., at a cost to the abutting property owners of $0. 94 per front foot. That said report has been, in all things,, approved by the City Council of the City of Paris. That the City of Paris is to pay one-third of the costs of paving and all drainage and inter- section costs. That the date for public hearing before the City Council by the abutting property owners on the above described property is hereby fixed at 7:00 ogclock P. M, a in the City Council Room, on the 7th day of Novembers A. D, , 1966. Section 3. That it is the intention of the City Council to assess the abutting property owners as provided for and under the terms and provisions of Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas, now known as Article 1105b of Vernonas Texas Civil Statutesa under which law these proceedings are taken and had. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Paris News, notice of the public hearing, three (3) times prior to said public hearing, as required by law.
