ORDINANCE NQ. 1838 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1655, ARTICLE VII LICENSE M» APPLICATION, AND ARTICLE VIII LICENSE -M REVOCATION; PROVIDING THA.T IN CASE OF REVOCATION OF A LICENSE TO OPERATE A BILLIARD ROOM QR IN CASE OF REFUSAL OF A LICENSE TO OPERATE A BILLIARD ROOM, NO PERSON SHAL.L FILE A NEW APPLICATION FOR THE OPERATION OF A BILLIARD ROOM UN- TIL SIX (6) MONTHS AFTER THE FINAL DENIAL OF AN APPLICA.TION OR FINAL ACT OF A REVOCATION; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- WITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: That Oxdinance No. 1655, Article VII and Article VIII, with reference to the application far a license to operate a billiard room and the revocation of a license, be amended as follows: Section 1. That should the Director of Finance refuse an appli- cation far an original license to operate a billiard room, no subse- quent application for an original license shall be filed within six (6) months from said date; and should the applicant for a license appeal to the City Council from the decision of the Director of Finance refusing such license, and the City Council shall sustain the action of the Director of Finance in refusing to issue such license, then no new applica-tion for a:license to operate a billiard zoom r_shall be f iled within six (6) months from the date of the hearing b y the City Council; and should the ruling of the City Council be appealed to the Distxict Court, no person shall file a subsequent application for an original license until the expiration of six (6) months from the date of the decision of the District Court, Section 2. That in the event the Director of Finance shall for cause suspend any license to operate a billiard room for violation of any of the conditions of Ordinance No. 1655, no new application for a license shall be filed within six (6) months from the date of the re- vocation of said license by the Director of Finance; or in the event that the licensee shall appeal to the City Council from the decision of the Director of Finance, and the City Council should sustain the action of the Director of Finance in revoking said license, then no new application for a license to operate a billiard room shall be filed within six (6) months from said date; and in the event an appeal from the decision of the City Council is made to the District Court, no application for an original license shall be filed within six (6) months from the date of the judgment of the District Court, Section 3e Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
