ORDINANCE NQ. 1838 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1655, ARTICLE VII LICENSE <br />M» APPLICATION, AND ARTICLE VIII LICENSE -M REVOCATION; PROVIDING <br />THA.T IN CASE OF REVOCATION OF A LICENSE TO OPERATE A BILLIARD ROOM QR <br />IN CASE OF REFUSAL OF A LICENSE TO OPERATE A BILLIARD ROOM, NO PERSON <br />SHAL.L FILE A NEW APPLICATION FOR THE OPERATION OF A BILLIARD ROOM UN- <br />TIL SIX (6) MONTHS AFTER THE FINAL DENIAL OF AN APPLICA.TION OR FINAL <br />ACT OF A REVOCATION; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE- <br />WITH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />That Oxdinance No. 1655, Article VII and Article VIII, with <br />reference to the application far a license to operate a billiard <br />room and the revocation of a license, be amended as follows: <br />Section 1. That should the Director of Finance refuse an appli- <br />cation far an original license to operate a billiard room, no subse- <br />quent application for an original license shall be filed within six <br />(6) months from said date; and should the applicant for a license <br />appeal to the City Council from the decision of the Director of <br />Finance refusing such license, and the City Council shall sustain the <br />action of the Director of Finance in refusing to issue such license, <br />then no new applica-tion for a:license to operate a billiard zoom r_shall <br />be f iled within six (6) months from the date of the hearing b y the <br />City Council; and should the ruling of the City Council be appealed <br />to the Distxict Court, no person shall file a subsequent application <br />for an original license until the expiration of six (6) months from <br />the date of the decision of the District Court, <br />Section 2. That in the event the Director of Finance shall for <br />cause suspend any license to operate a billiard room for violation of <br />any of the conditions of Ordinance No. 1655, no new application for a <br />license shall be filed within six (6) months from the date of the re- <br />vocation of said license by the Director of Finance; or in the event <br />that the licensee shall appeal to the City Council from the decision <br />of the Director of Finance, and the City Council should sustain the <br />action of the Director of Finance in revoking said license, then no <br />new application for a license to operate a billiard room shall be <br />filed within six (6) months from said date; and in the event an <br />appeal from the decision of the City Council is made to the District <br />Court, no application for an original license shall be filed within <br />six (6) months from the date of the judgment of the District Court, <br />Section 3e Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby repealed. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of August, A.
