ORDINANCE NO. 1843 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAF' OF <br />SAID CITY; FSTABLISHING A COMMERCIP,L DISTRICT ON A TRACT OF LAND BE» <br />LONGING TO THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS, BEING LOCATED APPROXINIL3TELY <br />200 FEET EAST OF 17th STREET, N. E. AND SOUTH OF CLEMENT ROAD, AND <br />INCLUDING A 60 FOOT ROADWAY FROM LOOP 286 SOUTH AND WEST TO THE <br />AFORESAID PROPERTY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DE» <br />SIGNATED AS A SF-2 DISTRICT; AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT SO ESTABLISHED. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: <br />Section 1, That the boundaries heretofore established by the <br />Zoning Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris, be, and the same are <br />hereby cha nged, and that a Commercial District, be, and the same is <br />hereby established on a tract of land belonging to the Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars, being located approximately 200 feet East of 17th <br />Street, N. E. and South of Clement Road, and including a 60 foot <br />roadway f rom Loop 286 South and West to the aforesaid property, so <br />as to include in such Commercial District the hereinafter described <br />property, which was formerly and is presently designated as a SF-2 <br />District, and that the boundaries of said Commercial District, be, <br />and the same are hereby establ.ished as follows: <br />Being a part of the tract of land originally owned by <br />J. C. Glasscock, and being a part of the Redding Russell <br />Survey; and <br />Beginning at the Northern North West Corner of the J. C. <br />Glasscock tract, where the same intersects a tract belonging <br />to Granville Farmer; said point being approximately 200 feet <br />East of the E. B. Line of 17th Street, N. E.; <br />Thence East wi-h the N. B. Line of the J. C. Glasscock <br />property 208 feet, a stake, where the same intersects a 60 <br />foot wide country road leading from Loop 286 to the property <br />described herein; <br />Thence South with the W. B. Line of said proposed 60 foot <br />country road 209 feet, a stake the South West Corner of said <br />proposed 60 foot road; <br />Thence West 208 feet, a stake in the W. B. Line of the <br />J. C. Glasscock tract and the E. B. Line of the Roy <br />Williamson tract; <br />Thence North 209 feet to the place of beginning. <br />It being the intention to re-zone the above described <br />tract, plus the 60 foot roadway immediately East of said <br />tract, and extending East and North to Highway Loop 286. <br />Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be, <br />and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of <br />Paris, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No, 1710 and <br />th e land use map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the <br />provisions of this ordinance. <br />Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />
