<br />TRICT, CONSISTING QF PROFERTIES NOT HERETOFORE :ZONED GENERAL
<br />RETAIL, ON BOTH SIDES OF LAMAR AVENUE, FROM ITS INTERSECTION
<br />WITH EIGHTH STREET TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH TWENTIETH STREET,
<br />AND ON EAST HOUSTON STREET, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH 8TH
<br />STREETI N. E. TO ITS INTERSECTIQN WITH 17TH STREET, N. E.; LOT
<br />11, BLOCK 104; LOTS 16 AND 17 OF BLOCK 103; LOTS 4, 51 6, 13, 14,

<br />THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENEZAL RETAIL DISTRICT SO ESTABLISHED; AND
<br />PI.ACING THE PROPERTY HEREIN INVOLVED IN THE FIRE LIMITS,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXASo
<br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofor e established by
<br />the Zoning Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris, be, and the
<br />same are hereby changed, and that a General Retail District, be,
<br />and the same is hereby established on the hereinafter described
<br />property belonging to the persons set out in connection there..
<br />with, so as to include in such General Retail District the here.
<br />inafter described property, which was formerly and is presently
<br />designated as Multiple Family Dwelling No. 1(MF..1), Parking (P'),
<br />and Office (O) Districts, and that the boundaries of said General
<br />Retail District, be, and the same are hereby established as
<br />follows:
<br />FIRST TRACT: All of City Block No. 187 and
<br />being that property situated between 8th Street, N. E.
<br />and 10th Street, N. E. and Lamar Avenue and East
<br />Houston Street, belonging to Mrs, J. B. Strong, 4Vi11
<br />H. Campbell, Jerry G. Bagwell, Mrs. Thomas L. Echols,
<br />Mrs, Edgar Wright, Mrs, Marshall Al1en, C. A. Morris,
<br />Salvation Army»Georgia Corporation, Mrs, Lott Kyle,
<br />George Horace Poteet, Roy D. McMillan, John R. Black,
<br />and D. E. Thompson,
<br />SECOND TRACT: All of City Block No. 104, that
<br />has not heretofo re been zoned General Retail, b eing
<br />Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 61 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 in said
<br />Block, belonging to Walker & Parchman Medical &
<br />Surgical Clinic, M. A. Walker, Norman W. Coker,
<br />James L. Clifford, Grady Todd, J. L. McVay, Lillian
<br />Few, V. Oo and Norvella Kyle.
<br />THIRD TRACT: All of City Block No. 32C not
<br />heretofore zoned General. Retail, said block lying
<br />between lOth Street and 12th Street, N. E. and
<br />between Lamar Avenue and Houston Street and being
<br />Lots land 2 in said Block, belonging to Edward W.
<br />Bretz and Charlie M. Hill.
<br />FOURTH TRACT: All of City Block No. 103 not
<br />heretofore zoned General Retail and being Lots l, 2,
<br />3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16 and 17 in said City Block
<br />and a 60 f'oot wide strip on the South Side of Lamar
<br />P;.venue that has heretofore been zoned as a Parking
<br />District, bebnging to R. L. Swaim, Jr., Mrs, S. O.
<br />Badgett, Edgarine Towers, Grover C. Taylor and wife,
<br />Maurie Stevenson, Mrs, Sam Payne, Sears Roebuck and
<br />Company, James R. Duncan and J. D. Burk, John S. Baker,
<br />Blake K. Lee, Ed Smith, Ollie Nash, and E. L. Myers.
