<br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING WISE STREET, FROM THE EAST BOUNDARY
<br />LINE OF WRIGHT STREET, NQW 9TH STREET, N,_W., TO THE WEST
<br />BQUNDA$Y LINE OF DIVISION STREET, NOW 7TH STREET,.N, W., AND THE
<br />ALLEY ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH BCtUNDARY LINE OF LOTS 1 THRU 12 AND
<br />THE NORTH BOUNDARY.LINE OF 23 THRU 24 OF BI.QCK 1 OF THE MARTIN
<br />BLQCK ADDITION, IN PARIS11_TEXAS, SAID STREET AND ALLEY EA.CH
<br />APPEARING.IN THE_PT,AT OF SAID ADDITION RECORDED IN BOOK 53, P'AGE
<br />266, DEED RECORDS, LAMAR COUNTY, TEXA.S, AND DECLA.RING NO NECESSITY
<br />OR NEED FOR SAID STREET OR ALLEY FOR CITY USE, AND_PROVIDING FOR
<br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF OCTOBER 14, 1968._
<br />WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
<br />Council of the City of Paris that a street, Wise Street, as shown
<br />in the plat of Martin Block addition, in Faris, Texas, recorded
<br />in Book 53, Fage 266, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, and
<br />being adjacent to the South Boundary Line of Lots 13 thru 24 of
<br />Block 1 and adjacent to the North Boundary Line of Lots 1 thru
<br />12 of Block 2 of said addition, has never been used as a street
<br />and is of no use as a street to the City of Paris or to its citi-
<br />zens, and the City Council so f'inds; and,
<br />WT3EREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
<br />Council of the City of Paris that an alley, as shown in the plat
<br />of Martin Block addition, in Paris, Texas, recorded in Book 53,
<br />Page 266, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, lying adjacent to
<br />the South Boundary Line of Lots 1 thru_12 of Block 1 of said
<br />addition and adjacent to the North Boundary Line of Lots 13 thru
<br />24 of Block 1 of said addition, has never been used for an alley
<br />and is of no use as an alley to the City of Faris or its citizens,
<br />and th e City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS ~ TEXAS : ,
<br />Section l. That Wise Street, as shown in the plat of
<br />Martin Block addition, in Paris, Texas, which is recorded in
<br />Book 53, Page 266, of the Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas,
<br />and being adjacent to the South Boundary Line of Lots 13 thru
<br />24 of Block 1 of said addition and adjacent to the North Boundary
<br />Line of Lots 1 thru 12 of Block 2 0f said addition, is hereby
<br />closed.
<br />Section 2. That the alley, as shown in the plat of
<br />Martin Block addition, in Paris, Texas, which is recorded in
<br />Book 53, 1'age 266, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, and being
<br />adjacent to the South Boundary Line of Lots 1 thru 12 of Block
<br />1 of said addition and_adjacent to the North Boundary Line of
<br />Lots 13 thru 24 of Block 1 of said addition, is hereby closed.
<br />5ection 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
<br />October 14, 1968.
