ORDINANCE NO. 1882 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PRO- PERTY ON WEST CHERRY STREET, BEGINNING AT THE W. B. LINE OF 19TH STREET, N. W. AND EXTENDING V1'EST TO THE W. B. LINE OF 24TH STREET, N. W., IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF PARIS TO PUBLISH THE SAME THREE (3) TIMES IN THE PARIS NEWS AS REQUIRED BY-LAW; APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE FINAL ESTIMATE OF THE COSTS OF SUCH STREET IMPROVEMENTS AS FILED BY THE CITY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PARIS PARIS ~ TF„X1S; FIXING THE CHA.RGES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OW'NERS AND THE CHARGES TO BE PAID BY THE CITY OF PARIS; AND WITH THE INTENTION OF FIXING A CHARGE AND LIEN AGAINST SIkID :PROPERTY AND THE REAL AND TRUE OfnTNERS THFR EOF . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the City Council did, on the llth day of March, 1968, by Ordinance No, 1857, declare the necessity for the improvement of GJest Cherry Street, by the installation of a six inch (611) soil stabilization asphalt base with two courses of asphalt penetration for surface, from the W. B. Line of 19th Street, N. W. to the W. B. Line of 24th Street, N. W,, and did then and there request the Director of Fublic Works to proceed with said work, and directed the City Clerk to file a notice of the lien to be claimed on the property belonging to the abutting property owners, which notice was filed by the City Clerk on the 13th day of March, 1968, in the Office of the County Clerlc of Lamar County, Texas. Section 2. That the Director of Public Works has reported to the City Council the costs of the improvements of the six inch (611) soil stabilization asphalt base street with two courses of asphalt penetration for surface, at a cost to the abutting pro. perty owners of $0,94 per front foot. That said report has been, in all things, approved by the City Council of the City of P'aris, That the City of Paris is to pay one-third of the costs of paving and all drainage and intersection costs. That the date for public hearing before the City Council of the abutting pxoperty owners on the above described property is hereby fixed at 7°00 o'clock:P. M., in the City Council Room, on the 9th day of December, 1968. Section 3a That it is the intention of the City Council to assess the abutting property owners as provided for and under the terms and provisions of Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas, now known as Article 1105b of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, under which law these proceedings are taken and had. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Paris News, notice of the public hearing, three (3) times prior to said public hearing, as required by law.
