ORDINANCE N0. 1894 . <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS OF THE EQUALIZATION <br />BOARD OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, TO SERVE FOR THE <br />CURRENT TAXA.BLE YEAR, ESTABLISHING THE TIME FOR THE FIRST MEET- <br />ING OF THE EQULIZATION BOARD, ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF PAY FOR <br />THE MEMBERS OF SAID BOARD, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That R. S. Biard, Ben Marable, an d W. B. <br />Richards, all residents of the City of Paris, Lamar County, <br />Texas, and qualified voters and real property owners in said <br />City, be, and they are hereby appointed as the Board of <br />Equalization of the City of Paris for the current taxable <br />year. <br />Section 2. The time of the meeting of said Equalization <br />Board is hereby fixed for the 2nd day of June, 1969. <br />Section 3. The regular place of ineeting of and for the <br />Equalization Board is hereby fixed and established as the <br />Council Room in the City Hall in the City of Paris, Texas. <br />Section 4. The rate of pay for each such appointed <br />member of said Equalization Board for the current taxable <br />year is hereby established at the rate of Thirty ($30.00) <br />Dollars per day, and the City Manager is hereby authorized <br />and directed to make payment out of the City funds to such <br />members at such rate of pay of Thirty ($30.00)Dollars per <br />day. <br />Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective <br />immediately upon passage. <br />Passed and adopted this 10th day of March, 1969• <br />, <br />- , r <br />~ <br />James R.
