ORDINANCE NO. 1705
<br />AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO DESTROY REFUNDED
<br />AND CANCELLED BONDS, SERIES 1957-A, CITY OF PARIS, WATERWORKS
<br />AND SEWER IMPROVEMENT REVENUE BONDS, NOS. 1 TO 1, 000 INCLUSIVE,
<br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $1, 000. 00 EACH, DATED AUGUST l, 1957.
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris issued on August l, 1957, certain City of
<br />Paris, Waterworks and Sewer Improvement Revenue Bonds, 5eries 1957-A,
<br />Nos. 1 to 1, 000 inclusive, and being in the principal sum of $1, 000. 00 each;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, said bonds were refunded and cancelled and occupy considerable
<br />storage space in the vault of the City of Pari.s; and,
<br />WHEREAS, there is no further necessity for the safekeeping of said can.-
<br />celled bonds; NOW, THEREFOFF,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
<br />That the City Clerk, H. C. Greene, be, and he is hereby authorized and
<br />directed to destroy said bonds, in order to clear out the space occupied by the
<br />same, and the City Clerk is further directed to execute the certifa.cate attached
<br />at the bottom thereon upon completion of the destruction of said bonds.
<br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of Dece ber A. D. , 1964.
