ORDINANCE NO. 1709 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1406, PASSED JUNE 10, 1957, AMENDING ARTICLE XXI, SEGTION l, SECTION 2,, AND SECTION 3(c)(3); ESTABLISHING A FIRE LANE ON THE EAST SIDE OF 19TH STREET, S.W.~ BETWEEN BONHAM STREET AND SHERMAN STREET; PROVIDING FOR ONE- WAY TRAFFIC PROCEEDING WEST ON-WEST KAUFMAN STREET, FROM 19TH STREET, S.W. TO 21ST STREET, S.W.; ESTABLISHING A FIRE LANE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF EAST KAUFMAN STREET, FROM 3RD STREET, S.E. TO THE END OF SAID STREET AT THE PROPERTY LINE OF THE SAFEWAY GROCERY COMPANY; ESTABLISHING A LOADING ZONE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF EAST KAUFMAN STREET, FROM THE EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF 3RD STREET, S.E,, EAST 112 FEET; ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING AT A1VY TIME AREA ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF EAST KAUFMAN STREET, FROM A POINT 112 FEET EAST OF THE EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF 3RD STREET, S.E., EAST TO THE END OF SAID STREET AT THE PROPERTY LINE OF THE SAFEWAY GROCERY COMPANY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PENALTY TO BE THE SAME AS PROVIDED FOR IN ORDINANCE NO. 1406 FOR EACH VIOLATION THEREOF, _ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1406, passed by the City Council on June 10, 1957, Article XXI, Section 2 thereof, be, and the same is hereby amended by establishing a Fire Lane on the East Side of 19th Street, S.W., between the South Side of Bonham Street and the North Side of Sherman Street. Section 2. That Ordinance No. 1406, Article XXI, Section 1 thereof, be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a one-way street, on which the traffic shall proceed only in a westerly direction, on West Kaufman Street, from 19th Street, S.W. to 21st Street, S.W. Sectinn 3. That Ordinance No. 1406, Article XXI, Section 2, be amended by establishing a Fire Lane, and the same is hereby es- tablished on the North Side of East Kaufman Street, from 3rd Street, S.E., East to the end of said street at the property line of the Safeway Grocery Company. Section 4. That Ordinance No. 1406, Article XXI, Section 3(c)(3), be amended by establishing a Loading Zone, and the same is hereby established on the South Side of East Kaufman Street, from the East Right of Way line of 3rd Street, S.E., East 112 feet. Section 5. That Ordinance No. 1406, Article XXI, Section 2, be, and the same is hereby amended by creating 11No Parking At Any Time" on the South Side of East Kaufman Street, from a point 112 feet East of the East Right of Way line of 3rd Street, S.E., East to the end of said street at the property line of the Safeway Grocery Company. Section 6. That this ordinance shall become effective imme- diately upon publication. Section 7. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
