ORDINANCE NO. 1721 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF <br />SAID CITYq ESTABLISHING AN OFFICE DISTRICT (O) ON A TRACT OF LAND LO- <br />CATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF 12TH STREET, N.E. AND EXTENDING FROM LAMAR <br />AVENUE TO EAST HOUSTON STREET, BEING A LOT 91 EEET BY 216 FEET, ON <br />PROPERTY BELONGING TO JIM.MY A. MILES, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />(MF-1); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT SO ES- <br />TABLISHED. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAFS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the <br />Zoning Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris, be, and the same <br />are hereby changed, and that an Office District, be, and the same is <br />hereby established on a tract of lancl located on the West Side of <br />12th Street, N.E. and extending from Lamar Avenue to East Ho,aston <br />Street, being a lot 91 feet by 216 feet, on property belonging to <br />Jimmy A. Miles, so as to include in such Office District the herein- <br />after describe3 property, which was formerly and is presently desig- <br />nated as a Multiple Family Dwelling District (MF-1), and that the <br />boundaries of said Office District, be, and the same are hereby es- <br />tablished as follows: <br />All that certain tract or parcel of land situated within <br />the Corporate Limits of the City of Pmis, a part of the Larkin <br />Rattan Survey on the North side of Lamar Avenue; <br />BEGINNING at a stakea the Northwest intersection of Lamar <br />Avenue and 12th Street, N.E., the same being the Southeast <br />corner of the lot described in the deed from Allie E. Fisher <br />and husband K.S. Fisher, to S.B. Dunagan, dated July 16, 1910, <br />r2corded in Book 134a Page 87 of the Deed Records of Lamar <br />County, Texas. <br />THENCE North with the WB line of 12th Street, N.E. 216 feet <br />to Houston Street; <br />THENCE West with the SB line of Houston Street 91 feet to <br />tne Northeast corner of a lot conveyed to Mrs. Isabell Manton <br />by S.B. Dunagan and wife, Ruthie Dunagan, by deed dated <br />August 23, 1910, and recorded in Book 134a Page 137 of the <br />Deed Records of said County; <br />THENCE South with the EB line o_f said Manton lot 216 feet, <br />a stake to the NB line of Lamar Avenue; <br />THENCE East with Lamar Avenue 91 feet to the place of be- <br />ginning. <br />Being the same property conveyed by A.O. Dunagan et al to <br />Mrs. Georgie Coleman, et al by deed dated May 20, 1935, of <br />record in Book 295, Page 163, Deed Records of Lamar County, <br />Texas, to which reference is made for all necessary purposes. <br />Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Pazis, bea and <br />he is hereby dir ected to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris, <br />in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land <br />use map accoinpanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions <br />of this ordinance. <br />Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conf lict <br />herewith are hereby expressly r2pealed. <br />Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately <br />upon passage. <br />
