ORDINANCE NO. 172_6 <br />AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br />ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION DIRECTING THEOMAYOR 'TO PUBLISITY OTICEROF, <br />TEXAS, AND RUTHORIZING A~ <br />SUCH PUBLIC HEARING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. On the 28th day of June, A.D., 1965, at 7:00 o'clock <br />p. M., in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of <br />Paris, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all <br />interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed <br />annexation by the City of Paris, Texas of the following described <br />property, to-wit: <br />Beginning at a stake where the most Western City Limit <br />Line of the City of Paris intersects the S.B. Line of Highway <br />82; <br />Thence West with the S.B. Line of Highway 82 to the North <br />West Corner of a tract of land belonging to Kay Brown and <br />described as follows: <br />Situated in Lamar County, Texas, a part of the Isaac <br />Cruise Survey, and being a part of a 90.13 acre tract of land <br />conveyed Kay Brown by deed recorded in Vol. 390, Page 132, of <br />the Deed Records of said County and State. <br />Beginning at a stake for corner in the South Boundary Line <br />of Bonham St., said point being the Northeast corner of said <br />Brown tract; <br />Thence South along the East Boundary Line of said tract, <br />a distance of 1110 ft. to a stake for corner; <br />Thence West a distance of 720 ft. to a stake for corner; <br />Thence North a distance of 1110 ft. to a stake for corner <br />in the South Boundary Line of Bonham St.; <br />Thence East along the South Boundary Line of Bonham St., <br />a distance of 720 ft. to the place of beginning; <br />Thence South a distance of 1110 feet; <br />Thence West with the S.B. Line of the Kay Brown tract to <br />the Soath East Corner of said tract; <br />Thence North with the E. B. Line of the Kay Brown tract <br />to a point 300 feet South of the S.B. Line of Highway 82; <br />Thence East and parallel with the S.B. Line of Highway 82 <br />to the W.B. Line of the present City Limits; <br />Thence South with said West Boundary Line to a point which <br />wauld be a westward extension of the N.B. Line of Sherman <br />Street to a point 600 feet West of the centerline of the outer <br />loop of Highway Loop No. 286; <br />Thence South and East and parallel with the centerline <br />aforesaid at a distance of 600 feet from said centerline, to a <br />point in a road which would be the extension of 6th Street, S.E.; <br />Thence South with the W.B. Line of said extension of bth <br />Street, S.E. to the existing City Limit Line in South Paris. <br />Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Paris, Texas is hereby <br />authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be <br />published once in a newspaper having gneral cixculation in the City <br />and in the above described territory not more than twenty (20) days <br />nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, <br />all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, <br />Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as <br />970a, Vexnon's Texas Civil Statutes). <br />
