<br />THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH,, LUMBERs
<br />AN:D REFUSE FROM THE HOTJSES TO '3E TORN DO'JdN AND REMOVED FROM
<br />THE PRE.MISES,, IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH NUISANCE.
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was, on the 14th day of March, A. D„, 1966,
<br />called to order by the Mayor of the City of Parisa V. E. Stewart, at 7:00 ojcl,ock
<br />P. M., in the City Council Room, in the City of Paris, Texas; and:
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Building Hazard Inspection
<br />Com_mi.ttee fixed a date for hearing on the resolution referred to the Committee
<br />by the City Council on January 10, 1966, and that said Commi.ttee fixed said
<br />hearing at 10:00 ot'clock A. M. , on the 28th day of February, A. D., 1966, and
<br />the hearing was had thereon. That proper notice was given to the owner or
<br />owners of the structures located at the following addresses:
<br />721 Wood Street;
<br />1324 - 12th Street, S. E. ;
<br />1333 - 12th Street, S. E.
<br />;
<br />1716 West Campbell Street;
<br />On13th Street, S. W,, Block 229, Lot 6;
<br />1408 West Houston Street;
<br />East Blake 5treet, Block 228, Lot 1;
<br />1033 - 7th Street, N. E,,;
<br />705 - 5th Street, S. E.
<br />That at said hearing the Comrnittee listed the structures involved and introduced
<br />pictures of the various portions of the structures and various portions of the pre-
<br />mises involved. That the Committee found that each of the above structures was
<br />in such state of deterioration and dilapidation as to create a serious fire hazard
<br />to life and property and that each of said buildings was dilapidated and was dan-
<br />gerous to life and property and dangerous structures to life and property. That
<br />said buildings are in such a state of dilapidation and decay that none of said struc-
<br />tures are capable of repair. It is further found that the condition of the premises
<br />and structures involved were such that the Commi.ttee recominended to the City
<br />Council that they be declared a nuisance and that the owners thereof be ordered by
<br />the City Council to tear down and remove the same from the lots involved,. That
<br />said Committee filed a complete report of its hearing and its findings with the City
<br />Clerk of the City of Paris on the 14th day of March, A. D,, 1966; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the CityCouncil has fully heard and considered the testimony
<br />presented upon the hearing and a complete transcript of the testimony reported
<br />by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee; NOWi THEREFORE&
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE GITY OF PARIS„
<br />TEXA S:
<br />Sectian 1, That the structures located at 721 Wood Street4 1324 - 12th
<br />Street, S. E. ; 1333 - 12th Street9 S. E. ; On 13th Street, S. Wa 9 Block 229, Lot 6;
<br />1408 West Houston Street; and 1033 - 7th Street, N. E., are a nuisance, and that
<br />they are hereby declared a nuisance, in that they are dangerous to life and pro -
<br />perty, and that the same constitute a fire hazard to life and property, and that the
<br />respective owners are hereby ordered to abate such nuisance within thirty (30)
<br />days from the date hereof. The City Manager is directed to furnish the owners a
