BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARISa TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Council, didg on the llth day of April9 A.D.s 1966, by Ordinance No. 1782, declare the necessity for the improvement of Culbertson Street9 by the installation of curbs and gutters and paving the same, from the E. B. Line of 25th Street, S. E. to the W. B. Line of the Tangle- wood Addition No. 4, arxl did then and there request the City Engineer to pro- ceed with said work, and directed the City Glerk to file a notice of the lien to be claimed on the property belonging to the abutting property owners, which notice was filed by the City Clerk on the 19th day of April, 1966, in the Office of the County Clerk of Lamar County., Texas. Section 2. That the City Engineer has reported to the City Council the costs of curb and gutter to the abutting property owners, and the costs to the abutting property owners for two-thirds of the paving per front foot, and said costs so reported are: Gosts of curb and gutter, $1.60 per front foot to the property owners on each side of said street; and the costs of paving to the abutting property owners of $1. 9065, on each side of said street, per front foot. That said report has been, in all things, approved by the City Council of the City of Paris. That the City of Paris is to pay one-third of the costs of paving and all drainage and intersection costs. That the date for public hearing before the City Council by the abutting property owners on the above described property is hereby fixed at 7:00 ogclock P. M.., in the City Council Room, on the lOth day of Oct ober, A. D., 1966. Section 3. That it is the intention of the City Council to assess the abutting property owners as provided for and under the terms and provisions of Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First Called Session of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas, now known as Article 1105b of Vernonts Texas Civil Statutes, under which law these proceedings are taken and had. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Paris News, notice of the public hearing, three (3) times prior to said public hearing, as required by law.
