ORDINANC E NO. 16 71 . AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1274, 5ECTION 17, BY ADDING THERETO, PROHIBITION AGAINST WIRING TO THE STUDS AROUND WALLS OF A BUILDING OR STRUCTURE AND PROHIBITION OF WIRING UNDERNEATH THE FLOOR OF ANY NEW BUILDING OR 5TRUCTURE, FIXING A PENALTY OF NOT MQRE THAN TWO HUNDRED ($200. 00) DOLLARS FOR EACH VIOLATION, AND REPEALING ALL OR- DINANCES IN CONFLICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: That Ordinance No. 1274, Section 17, be amended by adding thereto the following: Section 1, That no person, firm or corporation, shall wire any build- ing or any structure by runningthe electrical wires through the studs around the walls in such building or structure, ex.cept the wi.ring may be run through studs under windows, and in case of extreme hardship by special permission of the Electrical Inspector, Section 2, That no person, firm or corporation, shall wire any new building under the floor of said building or structure, ex.cept in conduit. Section 3. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction therefor shall be fined in any sum not exceeding Two Hundred ($200. 00) Dollars, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. 5ection 4, All ordinances or parts of ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby re- p ealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect on the lst day of June, A. D., 1964. Passed and adopted this 1 lth day of lvtay, A.
