ORDINANCE NO. 1673 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1662, SECTION 1 <br />THEREOF, FIXING THE BUILDING LINE ON SIDE YARDS AND FIXING <br />THE BUILDING LINE ON FRONT YARDS, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY, <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS., <br />TEXAS: <br />That Ordinance No. 1662, Section 1, be, and thesame is hereby <br />amended as follows: <br />Section 1, That in determining the side yard for set back lines on any <br />structure in the nature of a car port or other open structure, the post line <br />of the car port shall be accepted as the boundary line, and said post line <br />is to be located not nearer than the required distance from the side pro- <br />perty line as established by ordinance. <br />Section Z. That in connection with front yard building lines, that here- <br />after any part of a structure having a roof and is supported by either a <br />wall or posts is a part of the building and should be the governing point <br />in establishing the building line in the front yard set back. <br />Section 3. Any person, firm, or corporation,who shall violate any of <br />the above and foregoing provisions herein contained, shall be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor, and shall be fined in any sum not exceeding Two Hundred <br />($200. 00) Dollars. That each day said violation continues sYall be con- <br />sidered a separate and distinct offense. <br />Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in force at the time <br />of the passage of this ordinance, in conflict herewith, are hereby ex.press- <br />ly repealed. <br />Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective twenty (20) days after <br />its passage, as provided by law. <br />Passed and adopted this l lth day of 4ay, A.
