ORDINANCE NO. 1686 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING QN PROPERTY ON 33RD STREETs N. W., FROM THE SOUTH BOUNDARY LINE OF GRAHAM STREET TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF BONHAM STREET, AND DIRECT- ING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH SAME THREE (3) TIMES IN THE PARIS NEWS AS REQUIRED BY LAW; APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE FINAL ES- TIMATE OF THE COSTS OF SUCH CURB AND GUTTER AND STREET IMPROVE- MENT5 AS FILED BY THE CITY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND FIXING THE CHARGES TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS AND THE CHARGES TO BE PAID BY THE CITY OF PARIS AND WITH THE INTENTION OF FIXING A LIEN AGAINST SAID PROPERTY AND THE REAL AND TRUE OWNERS THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXA5: Section 1, That the City Council did,, on the 13th day of April, A. D, 9 19649 by Ordinance No. 1667, declare the necessity for the improvement of 33rd 5treet, N. W., from the South Boundary Line of Graham Street to the North Boundary Line of Bonham Street, by the installation of curbs and gutters andpaving same, and did then and there request the City Engineer to proceed with said work and- directed the City Clerk to file notice of a lien to be claimed on the property be- longing to the abutting property owners, which notice was filed by the City Clerk on the 14th day of April, A. D., 1964, in the Office of the County Clerk of Lamar County, Texas. Section 2. That the City Engineer has reported to the City Council the costs of curb and gutter to the abutting property owners and the costs to the abutting property owners for two-thirds of the paving per front foot, and said costs so reported are: Costs of curb and gutter, $1.5-0 per front foot; and the costs to the abutting property owners of $3.2192, or two-thirds of the street pavinge per front foot. That said report has been, in all things, approved by the City Council, and is now here so approved. That the date for public hearing before the City Council by the abutting property owners on the above described property is hereby set for 7:00 o'clock P. M. s in the City Council RoomB on the 14th day of September, A. D. s 1964. Section 3. That it is the intention of the City Council to assess the abutting property owners as provided for and under the terms and provisions of Chapter 106 of the Acts of the First CalledSession of the 40th Legislature of the State of Texas, now known as Article 1105b of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, under which law these proceedings are taken and had. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish in the Paris News notice of the above public hearing,, three (3) times prior to said public hearing, as required by law.
