ORDINANCE NO. 1698 . AN ORDINANCE SEPARATING, DISANNEXING, REMOVING, AND EXCLUD- ING FROM THE INCORPORATED AREA OF THE CITY OF PARIS, IN LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, AN AREA EMBRACING SEVERAL ACRES OF PROPERTY BE- LONGING PRINCIPALLY TO THE CITY OF PARIS AND LOCATED IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF HIGHWAY LOOP 286 AND WEST OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH FARM TO MARKET HIGHWAY 79, OR WHAT IS KNOWN AS 19TH STREET, N. W., SAID PROPERTY BEING DESCRIBED BY METE5 AND BOUNDS HEREINAFTER, AND SAID PROPERTY BEING WHOLLY UNINHABITED BY RESIDENCES OR COMMER- CIAL STRUCTURES; INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE A SURVEY FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY IN ACCORD- ANCE HEREWITH AND TO CONSTRUCT A COMPLETE MAP OF SUCH TERRI- TORY HEREIN AND HEREBY EXCLUDED FROM THE CORPORATE AREA OF SAID CITY OF PARIS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the following described property presently located within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, in Lamar County, Texas, which is wholly'uninhabited, practically all of which belongs to the City of Paris, be, and the same is hereby separated, disannexed, removed, and ex.cluded from the cor- porate area of said City, and the boundary limits of the City of Paris are hereby amended, changed, and corrected, so as to exclude said territory and to conform to the same as herein set out, to-wit: Situated in the County of Lamar and State of Tex.as, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point where the present City Limit Line, in the North West portion of Paris and West of 19th Street, N. W,, inter- sects with the South Boundary Line of Farm to Market Highway 79 in the North Boundary Line of a tract belonging to the City of Paris; and also being 600 feet North of the centerline of the outer loop of Loop Highway 286; Thence in a South Westerly direction with the present North City Limit Line to the W est Boundary Line of a tract of land acquired by the City of Paris from Schaff, recorded in Book 253, Page 488, of the Lamar County Deed Records; Thence South with the West Boundary Line of said tract to the North Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286; Thence North Easterly with the North Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286 to the South East Corner of a tract of land belonging to the City of Paris; Thence North 75, 3 feet to the South Boundary Line of Farm to Market Highway 79; Thence North W esterly with the South Boundary Line of Farm to Market Highway 79 to the place of beginning. Section 2. That the present boundaries of Ward Three of the City of Paris are hereby corrected and changeds so as to exclude the said above described property, and the same is hereby removed and excluded from said Ward Three of the City of Paris, Tex.as, Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby instructed to make a complete survey of the above described territory and to mark the boundaries of the City Limit Lines as established by this ordinance after the removal and exclusion of the above described tract from the existing or present corporate limits of the City of Paris, and he is further instructed to immediately correct the map of the City of Paris so as to remove and exclude therefrom the territory described herein, indicating on such map the date of the separation and disannexation of said above described tract from the corporate limits of the City of Paris.
