ORDINANCE NO, 1511 0 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1508; AMENDIlVG <br />SECTION 37 THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF FIBER PIPE <br />UNDER SAID SECTION AND PRESCRXBING THE MANNER IN WHICH <br />FIBER PIPE IS TO BE LAID, <br />BE IT ORDAIlVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That Ordinance Noo 1508, Section 37 thereof, be amended <br />to read as follows: <br />All drains from three feet (3t) outside of bua.lding to the main sewer <br />must be of vitrified clay pipe with bells, cast iron, asbestos cement pipe, <br />or fiber pipe. All of said pipe, except fiber pipe, shall be laid to a uni- <br />form grade. All fiber pipe will be laid with a proper embediment, and <br />said fiber pipe will ha.ve a minimum of six inches (611) cover and a maxi- <br />mum of four feet `4z) of cover. Excavation shall be made for all bells and <br />couplings on pipe so that the pipe shall have solid bearing for the full <br />length of the pipe. Joints of clay pipe shall be well cemented with two <br />parts of screened sharp sand and one part portland cement; joints of cast <br />iron shall be made of molten lead and oakum well caulked. No vitrified <br />clayy asbestos cement pipe, or fiber pipe shall be used for sewer <br />connections unless it is more than six inches (611) under the ground. <br />Asbestos cement pipe shall be laid according to manufacturersz specifica- <br />tions, and fiber pipe sha.ll be laid in accordance with the above specifica- <br />tions provided therefor, <br />5ection 2o This ordinance sha.ll become effective immediately upon <br />passage. <br />Passed and adopted this llth day of April, A.
