ORDINANCE NO. 1523 <br />° <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDIlVG THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLI5HED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLL5HIlVG <br />A"G" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ON PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH SIDE OF <br />LAMAR AVENUE BETWEEN 24TH STREET AND 28TH STREET AND ON <br />PORTzONS OF THE NORTH 5IDE OF LAMAR AVENUE BETWEEN 25TH <br />5TREET AND 28TH STREET, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY <br />FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A RESIDENTXAL DISTRICT; AND DESIG- <br />NATING THE BOUNI3ARIES OF THE "G" COMMERCIAL DISTRZC T SO <br />ESTABLX,SHED, . <br />BE XT ORDAIlVED BY THE C1TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS s <br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning <br />Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris be, and the same are hereby <br />changed, and that a"G" Commercial District be, and the same is hereby <br />established on portions of the South Side of Lamar Avenue between 24th <br />Street and 28th Street and on portions of the North Side of Lamar Avenue <br />between 25th Street and 28th Street, to include in such "G" Commercial <br />District the hereinafter described territory, which was formerly and is <br />presently designated as a Residential District, and that the boundaries of <br />said "G" Commercial District be, and the same are hereby established as <br />follow s e <br />Situated in the City of Paris, in Lamar County, Texas, and <br />described as follows; <br />TRAC T NO. 1: Located on the South Side of Lamar Avenue <br />and being a tract of land belonging to W. W. Boothe, at the <br />addresa of 2610 Lamar Avenue and extending South to a <br />tract owned by the Paris Independent School I7istrict; and a <br />tract on the South Side of Lamar Avenue, belonging to Mrs. <br />Cora G. Brown, at the address of 2528 Lamar Avenue and <br />extending from Lama.r Avenue to a tract belonging to the <br />Paris Independent School District. <br />TRACT NO. 2: A lot belonging to O. B. Springer on the North <br />Side of Lamar Avenue, immediately West of a lot belonging to <br />Lamar Oil Company, and being located at the North East in- <br />tersection of the North Boundary Line of Lamar Avenue and <br />the East Boundary Line of 27th Street, N. E. ; a lot belonging <br />to Billie J. Norwood on the North Side of Larnar Avenue, ex- <br />tending North 230 feet; a lot belonging to Mirtie Spikes on the <br />North Side of Lama.r Avenue, and extending 230 feet North; a <br />lot belonging to J. R. Cox on the North Side of Lamar Avenue, <br />extending North from Lamar Avenue 230 feet; a lot belonging <br />to Ralph S. Green, extending North from Lamar Avenue 230 <br />feet; and a lot belonging to Mrs. Dovie Beal, extending North <br />230 feet from Lamar Avenue, and being immediate•ly East of <br />the Dee Locke property. <br />Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris be, and he <br />is hereby directed to change the ZoniMg Map of the City of Paris, in <br />accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1409, as amended, and <br />in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. <br />Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict <br />herewith are hereby expressly repealed. <br />
