ORDINANCE NO. 1551 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING QRDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY CjF PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES <br />ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A <br />"G" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ON THENOR.TH SIDE CF CLARKSVILLE <br />STR,EET, IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF THE WESTINGHOUSE PLANT, ON <br />TWO TR,AGTS BELONGING TO DALLAS UTILITY COMPANY, IN- <br />CORPORATED, BEING A PORTION OF A PROPOSED NEW SUBDIVISION <br />KNOWN AS JOHNSON WOODS ESTATES, SO AS TO INGLUDE THEREIN <br />TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; <br />DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE "G" COMMERGIAL DISTRIGT <br />SO ESTABLISHED. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNGIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PA RIS : <br />Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore esta,blished by the <br />Zoning Map and Ordinances of the City of Paris, be, and the same are <br />hereby changed, and that a"G" Commercial District be, and the same is <br />hereby esta,blished on the Nor-th Side of Clarksville Street, immediately <br />North of the Westinghouse Plant, and described hereinafter in two tracts, <br />on property belonging to Dallas Utility Company, Incorporated, so as to <br />include in such "G" Commercial District the hereinafter described property, <br />which was formerly and is presently designated as a Residential District, <br />and that the boundaries of said "G" Commercial District be, and the same <br />are hereby established as follows: <br />BEING two tracts of land situated in the George W. Cox and <br />Joseph Leach Survey, Lamar County, Texas, and being out of <br />a 206.4 acre tract conveyed to Mary Virginia Hocker and <br />Charles M. Johnson by MQ,r,gan P. Johnson and Maggie C. <br />Johnson as recorded in Book 335, Page 231 of the Deed <br />Records of Lamar County,"Texas, and being more parti- <br />cularly described as follows; <br />TRACT "A": BEGINNING at a point on the northerly line of <br />U. S. Highway No. 271, said point being the southwest corner <br />of a tract formerly owned by W. B. Cheatham, said point also <br />being the beginning of a curve to the right having a tangent <br />bearing N?8°43'17"W, a radius of 5321.48' and a central <br />angle of 2°10'08", for corner; <br />THENCE in a westerly direction and around ssid curve <br />of the northerly line of U. S. Highway No. 271, 201. 44' to a <br />point on the easterly line of a proposed 50' street, for corner; <br />THENCE along said easterly line of proposed 50' street <br />a s follow s • <br />N130 431E, 19. 80/' to the beginning of a curve to the left, <br />said curve having a radius of 419.41' and a central angle of <br />of 140 271, for corner; <br />In a northerly direction and around said curve, 105. 781, <br />a point for corner; <br />N00441W, 202.921, a point for corner; <br />THENCE N890 161E, 180. 77' to a point on the west line of <br />said Cheatham tract, for corner; <br />THENCE SO°18'E and along said west line of Cheatham <br />tract, 372.50' to the Place of Beginning and containing 1. 46 <br />acres of land. <br />
