provided, however, that every person who desires to park or stand a vehicle in a metered parking space provided for any such area, street or portion of street, beginning at any time after 8:00 oiclock A. M. and prior to 5:00 oiclock P. M. on any such regulated day, shall immediately deposit one or two five cent coins of the United States in the parking meter alongside of and next to such parking space. If one such five cent' coin is so deposited, such person sha.ll be entitled to park continuously at such location for the period of time from the deposit thereof for two hours. If two five cent coins are deposited at such time, such person shall be entitled to park con- tinuously at suc,h location for a period of four hours from the time of such deposit. That no person shall park in any of the above metered parking spaces continuously for a longer period of time than four hours. Any per- son who shall Park an automobile or other vehicle at or upon any of such regulated parking spaces or area where two hour and four hour meters are insta,lled, without depositing a five cent coin or two five cent coins of the United States as herein required and provided, shall be guilty of illegal parking or standing of vehicles and shall be subject to the penalty herein- after provided. In the event any person parks or stands an automobile or other vehicle at or upon any such metered parking space for a period of time heyond that allowed and provided for the coin or coins deposited, he shall be guilty of the offense of tbver parkingt' and shall be subject tQ the penalties hereinafter provided. Section 3. Any person guilty of the offense of illegal parking or standing of a vehicle, or who shall be guilty of over parking a vehicle in the above metered parking spaces, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined as provided for in the penalty section of Ordinance No. 1406. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5. The effective date of this ordinance shall be immediately.
