AN ORDINANCE AMENDING OR.DINANCE NO. 1310, AMENDING SEC TION 8, PROVIDING FOR POLICE POWER OF ANY SANITARY LAND FILL SITE OR GARBAGE DbSPQSAL PLACE, OWNED AND OPERA TED BY THE CITY OF PARIS, AND PRGHIBITING SALVAGING OR SCAVENGERZNG OF REFUSE, UNLESS DONE UNDER CONTRACT BY THE CTTY CQUNCZL.; PROVII)ING THAT ALL ACCEPTABLE REFUSE BROUGHT IIvTO THE AREA WIL,L BE THE PROPERTY QF THE CITY OF PARISA AND PROVIUING THAT THE DISPOSAL OF SAME WILL BE IlN THE HANDS OF THE CITY OF PARS; PROHIBITING UNLAWFUL TRESPASSING UPON THE PREMISES; PROVIDIlVG A PENAL TY; AND PROVIDIIVG FOR AN EFFEC TIYE DA TE. BE IT ORDAIlNED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. Tha.t Ordinance No. 1310, passed by the City Council on the 14th day of December, 1953, be amended by amending Sectioa 8 thereof by addi.ng thereto the following: Tha,t no person, firm, or corporatian ahall trespass upon any property owned and operated by the City of Paria, as a sanitary land fill or garbage and waste disposal area, except for the purpose of dumpi.ng trash, waste, or garbage on said sanita,ry land fill, at the hour: pxescribed above. That no person, firm, or corporation will be permitted to go in or upon saatd praperty or properties for the purpose of salvaging or scavengering of refuse, unless done under contract or lease by the City of Paris, Texas. That all acceptable refuse brought into said area or areas will become the property of the City of Paris, and the disposal of same will be governed by the City of Paris. Section 2. That the penalty provided in Section 10 of Ordinance No. 1310 shall be applicable for any violatis3n of this amendment. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances i.n corflict herewith are nereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective upon passage and publication.
