<br />MANAGER OF THE CITY OF Pl-+RIS TG GIVE NDTICE OF SikID HEARING qS REQUIRED BY LAW
<br />OF THE STATE OF TEXtiS AND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF PARIS; AND PROVIDTNG tiN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OJUNCSL OF THE CITY OF PARIS$ TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, hereby finds
<br />and determines;
<br />(a) That the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, has heretofore
<br />by ordinance duly enacted on the llth day of November, A. D., 1957, determined
<br />the necessity for and ordered the improvement of East Tudor Street, frorn the
<br />East Boundary Line of 17th Street, N. E. to the VJest Boundary Line of 20th
<br />Street, N. E.; 25th Street, S. W., from the South Bourd ary Line of West Sher man
<br />Street to the North Boundary Line of West Austin Street; and a street from the
<br />North Curb Line of Lamar Avenue to the North Curb Line of East Houston Street,
<br />on 31st Street, N. E., a paving width of 30 feet; and another tract beginning
<br />at the intersection of the West Boundary Line of 31st Street, N. E., on East
<br />Houston Street, East a distance of 150 feet, a street width of 30 feet; in the
<br />manner and aecording to the plans and specifications ther2for, which plans and
<br />specifications have heretofore been approved by the City Council.
<br />(b) That a notice duly executed in the name of the City of Paris, Texas,
<br />of the enactment of said above described ordinance, has heretofore been filed
<br />with the County Clerk of Lamar County, Texas, the county in which said City of
<br />Paris is situated.
<br />(c) That said City Gouncil, aftEr having duly advertised for bids in
<br />the manner required by law and the Charter of said City, did award the contract
<br />for said improvements to Roy L. Williamson, upon its lowest and best bid, and
<br />said contract, which is dated March 7th , 1958, has been executed by said
<br />bidder and by said City, the execution of which contract by the City was au-
<br />thoxized by resolution heretofore passed on the 27th day of February, A. D.,
<br />1958 by said City Council; and the perforrnance bond required by law in said
<br />contract has been properly furnished by said bidder, and approved by and
<br />accepted by the City Council, all as required by law and the Charter of said
<br />City.
<br />(d) That the City Council has caused the Director of Public Works to
<br />prepare and file estimates of the costs of such improvements and the amounts
<br />per front foot to be assessed against the property abutting said streets within
<br />the limits defined, and the real and true owners thereof; and the Director of
<br />Public Works has heretofore filed said estimates and his statement of other
<br />matters relating thereto with said City Council, and the same has been received,
<br />examined, and approved by said City Council.
<br />Section 2. The written statement and report of the Director of Public
<br />Works, heretofore filed with the City Council, showing all of the improvements
<br />on said streets within the limits defined above, 5howing the amounts per front
<br />foot prpposed to be assessed against the abutting property and the real and true
<br />.
