ORDINANCE NO. 1494. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1406, KNO WN AS <br />THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, AND AMENDING <br />ARTICLE XXI, SECTION4, SUBDIVISION (e); PROVIDING FOR EIGHT <br />(8) TWO••HOUR PARKING METERS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF GRAND <br />AVENUE FROM 3RD STREET, S. W. TO 4TH STREET, S. W. ; AND <br />TWO (2) TWOeHOUR PARKING METERS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF <br />GRAND AVENUE BETWEEN 3RD STREETr S. W. AND 4TH STREET, <br />S. W. ; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR OVER PARKING AS PRO- <br />VII?ED IN OR.DINANCE NO, 1406. <br />BE IT ORI?AINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section 1, That Ordina.nce No, 1406, Article XXI, Section 4 is <br />hereby amended as follows: <br />(e) Regula.ted two.•hour meteredparking. The following described <br />areas, streets or portions thereof, are hereby designated as two..hour <br />metered parking zones, and the parking or standing of vehicles at or <br />within such areas or zones shall be regulated between the hours of 8:00 <br />o'clock A. M. and 6:00 o'clock P. M. of each day except Sundays and <br />legal holidays, and said areas are as follows: <br />Street or Area Extent Side <br />Grand Avenue 8 meter spaces South From 3rd Street, S. W. <br />to 4th Street, S. W. <br />Grand Avenue 2 meter spaces North Between 3rd Street S. W. <br />and 4th Street, S. W. <br />That for each two hours the person parking said automobile shall <br />place in said parking meter a five (50 cent coin. Anypersonwho shall <br />park an automobile or other vehicle at or upon any of such regula.ted <br />parking area, without depositing a five (5~) cent coin of the United <br />Sta.tes, as herein required and provided9 sha.ll be guilty of illegal parking <br />or sta.nding of an automobile and shall be subject to the penalties provided <br />for in the ordina.nce amended hereby. In the event a person parks or sta.nds <br />an automobile at or upon any such metered parking space for a period of <br />time beyond that allowed and provided for the coin or coins deposited, <br />he shall likewise be guilty of the offense of "over parking" and shall be <br />subject to the penalties provided in the ordinance amended herebyo <br />Passed and adopted this 26th day of October, A.
