ORDINANGE NO. 1497 , AN ORDINAIVCE ANNEXING, ADMITTING AND INCORPORATING ADDITIONAL TER,R.ITORY IN LAMAR COUNTYs TEXA5, LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF PARI5, TEXAS, INT'O ANDIS A PART OF St'31D CITY OF PARIS, EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO INCLUDE AND EMBRACE SAID ADJACENT TERRITORY, CON- FERRING ALL RIGHT5Q PRIVILEGES AND IMMUNITIES OF GITIZENSHIP UPON THE INHABITANTS OF SLID TERRITORY, EXTENDING THE BOUNDA- RIES OF WAR.D ONE SO AS TO EMBRACE AND INCLUDE ALL OF SAID TERRITORY AND INCORPORATING THE SAME IN SAID WARD ONE OF SAID CITY, PRO VIDING THA T ALL ORI?INANCES, RULES, REGULATIONS, AND LAWS IN EFFECT IN THE CITY OF PARIS AND THAT MAY HERE.- AFTER BE PASSED IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT IN SAID TERRITORY AFTER PA5SAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE, INSTRUCTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE A SURVEY FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE HEREWITH AND TO CONSTRUCT A COMPLETE MAP OF SUCH TERRITORY SHOWING STREETS, ALLEYS, LOT5s TRACTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS AND TO FILE SAME WITH THE CITY CLERK AND TO CGRRECT THE MAP OF THE CITY OF PARIS SO AS TO ADD SUCH TERRITORY THERETO; AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY ASSES50R AND COLLEC TOR OF TAXES TO LIST ALL PROPERTY THEREIN AND PLACE SAME ON THE TAX ROLL5 OF THE CITY OF PARIS AND HEREAFTER ASSESS SAME FOR TAXES IN ACCORDANCE WITH LAW. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That the following described territory in Lama,r County, Texas, lying adjacent to the present boundary limits of the City of Paris be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Paris and admitted into the corporation of such City, and is hereby made and constituted a part and portion of the City of Paris and the Boundary Limits of the City of Paris are hereby extended so as to include and embrace said territory and to conform to same as herein set out, to..wit: Located within the County of Lamar and Sta.te of Texa,s, and beginning at the intersection of the North Boundary Line of the Texa.s and Pacific Railway Right of Way and the W. B. Line of 24th Street, S. E., in the City of Paris; Thence West with the North Boundary Line of the Texas and Pacific Railroad Right of Way and the South Boundary Line of College Heights Addition, which South Boundary Line is the South Boundary Line of the present City Limits of the City of Paris, approxima,tely 1422 feet to a point immediately North of a 20 acre tract owned by Clyde and Edmond A. Parham, and being a tract proposed as a new addition in the na.me of Lamesa Heights Addition; Thence South to the North West Corner of said tract; Thence South with the W. B. Line of said 20 acre tract, 572 feet to the N. B. Line of the Right of Way of the Paris and Mt. Pleasant Railroad; Thence East with the N. B. Line of said Paris and Mt. Pleasant Right of Way approximately 1433 feet to the South East Corner of said Parha.m Tract, being the W. B. Line of 24th Street, S. E. ; Thence North approximately 668 feet to the intersection of the W. B. Line of 24th Street, S. E. and the S. B. Line of the Texas and Pacific Right of Way, and continuing North across the Texas and Pacific Right of Way approximately 100 feet to the point of beginning.
