<br />'vUHEREAS, The City of Paris owns a certair lot, tract or parcel
<br />of land situated on Clement Road in the City of Paris, Lamar County,
<br />Texas known as the City Abattoir property on which is located an
<br />abattoir formerly operated by the City of Paris and presently operated
<br />under lease from said City; arid,
<br />WHEREAS, it appears ta the City Council that the disposal of
<br />such Abattoir property and premises by sale is for the best interests
<br />of said City, its government and its people; and,
<br />6VHEREAS, by resolutian adopted by the City Council on June 13,
<br />1955, the City Manager of the City of Paris was authorized and directed
<br />to advertise for and receive sealea bids for the sale of such Abattoir
<br />property and premises by publication of nctice thereof in the Paris
<br />News; ancl,
<br />WHEREAS, it appears that such notice was lawfully published and
<br />given, including notice that such sealed bicis would be received in the
<br />office of the City Manager of the City of Paris until 5:00 o'clock P.M.
<br />on Monday, July 11, 1955; and,
<br />'tdHEREA5, the bid of g ON /A D S.>
<br />of t"cLY~ .Z) , Texas for the purchase of said
<br />lands and premises appears to be the highest bid therefor, ancl is a
<br />fair and reasonable price therefor, and in an amount equal to or in
<br />excess of the present market value cf the same; and,
<br />VJHEREAS, it further appears to the City Council of the City of
<br />Paris that the sale of such property and premises by the City of Paris
<br />to said bidder for such sum of $ f 3~.50 d' O 67 is to the best interests

<br />County, Texas, presently owned by the City of Paris, Texas, being the
<br />Abattoir property and premises of said City, and described as follows:

<br />BEGINNING at the SW corner of the 5 acre tract of land
<br />described in deed from W. A. Connor, G. C. Connor, Jr.,
<br />Pearle Connor Dickson arid husband Jchn T. Dickson, Daisie
<br />C. Pierce and husband F. J. Pierce and Ermina C. Bray, a
<br />feme sole, recorded in Book 154, Lamar County Deed Re-
<br />cords, said point being the SW' corner of a tract of land
<br />deeded to 0. C. Connor by J. R. Ryan by Deed recorded in
<br />Book 108, Page 33, Lamar County Deed Records; thence
<br />PJorth 200 E. 345 feet, a stake; thence North 83° 30° East
<br />40 feet, a stake; thence North 200 East 195 feet, a
<br />stake; thsnce East 265 ieet, a stake; thence South 500
<br />feet, a stake in the tiB line of Clement Road; thence bvest
<br />152 feet, a stake; thence South crossing Clement Road in
<br />all 250 feet, a stake; thence West 200 feet, a stake;
<br />thence Nort}i 250 feet, a stake in the PqB line of Clement
<br />Road; thence VJest 148 feet to the place of beginning.
<br />Save and except that portion of Clement Road, a public
<br />road, included in the description herein above set out,
<br />and subject to the terms and provisions of any outstand-
<br />ing lease ar rental agreement heretofore executed by said
<br />City and preser,tly in faxce, and further subject to any
<br />existing and effective right of way easements vested in
<br />any person, firm or corporation for any purpose.
