ORDINANCE NUMBER 1 243 An ordinance amending ordi.nance mamber 1241 entitled,, "An ordinance adopting a budget for the ensuing fiscaZ yeax begi.nning July 1, 1951i and endi.ng June 30, 1952.9 in accordance with the Charter of the City of Paris; appropriating the several amounts tlzerein stated as proposed expenditures to the objects and pur- poges herein named; and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith" for the purposes of correcting the appropriation to the Department of Public Safety so that said ordinanee will conform to the correct budgeted am,ount for sai.d department, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict, herewith. WliMEAS, ordinance number 1241 entitled, ",An ordinance adopt- ino a budget for the ensuing fiscal year beginning Jn1y 1., 1951Y and ending Jut1e 30, 1952, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Paris; appropriating the several amovnts therein stated as proposed expenclitures to the objeets and purposes herein named; and repealing all ox-di.nances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewi.th" was heretofore passed by the City Council of the City of Paris on June 20, 1951; and WiMtEAS, the proposed budget of the City of Paris for the ensuing fiscal year beginning July 1, 1951, provided for an appro- priation to the Department of Public Safety in the amounts as follows : P'UBLIC SAFETY: Police $71s307.90 Fire 80,031.17 Total $151,339.07 AND WfDREAS, the amounts set out in sai.d ordinance adopting said budget were inadvertentltiy and by error set out therei.n as $77,582.62 for Police and $85,731.17 for Fire, totaling $163,313•79; now, therefore, BE I T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI TY OF PARIS : l. That ord:inance nwnber 1241 entitled, "An ordinance adopt- ing a budget for the ensui.ng fiscal year beoinning Julyl, 1951, and ending June 30, 1952, in accordance with the Charter of the Cit`r of Paris; appropriating the several amounts therein stated as proposed expendituxes to the objects and purposes herein named; and repealing all ordinances or parts of os-dinances in conflict herewith" be and the sarge is hereby amended and corrected so tha,t hereafter the appropriation set out in Section 2 of said orclinance for the Department of Public Safety shall hereafter be and read as follows; PUBI,IC S AFE : Police $71,307.90 Fire 80,031,17 Total $1512339.07
