Section 7:- That if a vehicle shall remain con- <br />tinuously parked within aParking space for a period of time <br />longer than the parking limit for such parking space, as shown <br />by the indicator of said Pa.rking meter, said vehicle shall <br />be considere d as parked overtime. The parking of a vehicle <br />overtime, or beyond the time as paid f'or, as provided for <br />in this ordinance, shall constitute a violation of this or- <br />dinance, and shall subject said person violating same to the <br />penalties provided in Section 16 hereoP. <br />Section 8:- That it sh.all be unlawful and an offense <br />f'or an y person operating a vhhicle to allow said vehicle to <br />remain sta nding or parked upon any of the streets within any <br />of said peLrking spaces within the meter zones described herein <br />where parking meters are installed , for a longer continuous <br />period than one (1) hour in Zone I, or for a longer continaous <br />period than two (2) hours in. ?one II, without Paying an addi- <br />tional fee. <br />Section 94- That it shall be unlawful and an of fense <br />fcr any person to a11ow, permit or suffer any vehiele registered <br />in his name to be pal-ked outside of or over the lines of any <br />parking space, described in this Ordinance; to be parked over- <br />time in any parking space; or to remain parked for a longer <br />period of time continuously in said parking space, than the <br />parking limit provided f ar. <br />Section 10:- That the provisions of Sections 6, 70 <br />8 and 9 shall not apply bePore 8:00 o'clock A. M., nor after <br />6:00 0' cloek P. "l. , on week days, nor on ~undays or the Pol- <br />lowing ofPicially de$ignated holidays: Sanuary l, July 43 <br />Thanksgiving Day as proclaimed by the President of the United <br />Stat e s of Amer ica , and Dec embe r 25. On Saturdays, however , <br />said rrovisions shall apply Prom 8:00 o'clock A. M. to 9:00 <br />o' clock F. M'. <br />Section 11:- That the City of Faris, Texas, shall <br />be authorized to establish, designa oek r~ bg appropriate- <br />inarkings upon the surface of streetswlti.ldentify <br />in said parking meter <br />zones such "loading spaces" as are,in the opinion of the City <br />Council, necessary for the conduct of business within said City, <br />and narking metera shall be omitted from such loafling zones. <br />And provided, that it shall be an oPPense for any person to <br />stop or park a vehicle within such loading zones except for the <br />exclusive use of same Por loading or unloading passengers, <br />supplies or merchandise. <br />3ection 12:- That it shall be the duty of each trafPic <br />or other o fi~cer to make a written record of the nu.mber of any <br />parking meter at which any vehicle is illegallg ~arked, as pro- <br />vided by this ordinance, and to make,at the same time, a written <br />record of the State 1 icense number of s uch vehicle; and such <br />officer shall promptly report the same to the Folice Department <br />and shall promptly file a legal complaint of any 8iolation of <br />this or(iiilance, said complaint to be in the f orm as provided <br />by the laws of the City of Faris, Texas. aaid Police Officer <br />ehall, at the same time he makes the record of the parking meter <br />number and the License number of said vehiele, make a duplicate <br />of such reco rd upon a card to be placed in a conspicuous place <br />on s uch vehicle so illegally pa rked.
