<br />
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, AWARDING THE BID AND AUTHORIZING THE
<br />EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A
<br />TEN (10) UNIT NESTED T-HANGAR AT COX FIELD AIRPORT; MAKING
<br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 28th day of June,
<br />2001, approve the advertisement for bids for furnishing labor, materials, and equipment, and for
<br />performing all work required for the construction of a nested T-hangar at Cox Field Airport, which
<br />bids were received until 3:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, the 7th day of August, 2001; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, bids submitted were based upon the following options: ( 1 ) Option "A," 1 O-Unit
<br />Nested T-Hangar (42'x 12' Openings), Including Concrete Foundation; (2) Option "B," 10-Unit
<br />Nested T-Hangar (40' 6" x 10' 6" Openings), Including Concrete Foundation; and (3) 7-Unit Nested
<br /> T-Hangar (40'x 14' Openings), Including Concrete Foundation; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the lowest and best bid for such construction was made by George Spencer
<br />Construction of Paris, Texas, for Option "A," 10-Unit Nested T-Hangar (42' x 12' Openings),
<br />Including Concrete Foundation, and said contractor should be awarded the bid for the same; and,
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the form of the agreement for such construction project, attached hereto as
<br />Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the
<br />same; NOW, THEREFORE,

<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all things
<br />approved.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the bid of George Spencer Construction for Option "A," 1 O-Unit Nested T-
<br />Hangar (42' x 12' Openings), Including Concrete Foundation, for the "Cox Field Airport Nested T-
<br />Hangar Construction Project" in the amount of $156,766.00, be, and the same is hereby, accepted
<br /> and let conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the
<br /> bid documents.
<br />
<br /> Section 3. That the form of the agreement with George Spencer Construction, attached
<br />hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the same is hereby, approved.
