2.12 ENTRY DOORS <br /> <br /> A. Provide a 3'-0" x 6'-0" steel entry door, 26 ga. trim package, weather stripping, lockset keypad <br /> and master keyed, for each storage room. <br /> <br />2. ! 3 BOLT LAYOUT <br /> A. Building manufactured to provide contractor with anchor layout plan and column reactions. <br /> <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> <br />3.1 EXAMINATION <br /> <br /> A. Examine substrates, with Erector present, for compliance with requirements for installation tol- <br /> erances and other conditions affecting performance of metal hangar building system. <br /> 1. For the record, prepare written report, endorsed by Erector, listing conditions detrimental <br /> to performance of work. <br /> 2. Proceed with erection only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. <br /> B. Before erection proceeds, survey elevations and locations of concrete and masonry bearing sur- <br /> faces, baseplates, and anchor bolts to receive structural framing. Verify compliance with re- <br /> quirements and metal building system manufacturer's tolerances. <br /> <br />3.2 PREPARATION <br /> <br /> A. Clean substrates of substances, including oil, grease, rolling compounds, incompatible primers, <br /> and loose mill scale, that impair bond of erection materials. <br /> <br /> B. Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted according to manufacturer's writ- <br /> ten instructions for each particular substrate condition and as specified. <br /> <br />3.3 ERECTION <br /> <br /> A. Erect metal hangar building system according to manufacturer's written instructions and erec- <br /> tion drawings. <br /> <br /> B. Do not field cut, drill, or alter structural members without written approval from metal building <br /> system manufacturer's professional engineer. <br /> <br /> C. Set structural framing in locations and to elevations indicated. Maintain structural stability of <br /> frame during erection. <br /> <br /> D. Baseplates and Bearing Plates: Clean concrete and masonry bearing surfaces of bond-reducing <br /> materials and roughen surfaces before setting baseplates and bearing plates. Clean bottom sur- <br /> face of baseplates and bearing plates. <br /> 1. Set baseplates and bearing plates for structural members on wedges, shims, or setting <br /> nuts. <br /> 2. Tighten anchor bolts after supported members have been positioned and plumbed. Do <br /> not remove wedges or shims but, if protruding, cut off flush with edge of baseplate or <br /> bearing plate before packing with grout. <br /> 3. Pack grout solidly between bearing surfaces and plates so no voids remain.
