<br />Census data reflects the income levels of household in Paris, Lamar County and the State of Texas. The
<br />percentage of the total number of households for each income level is calculated. In 1989 the percentage
<br />of Paris households that had an annual income less than $20,000 was 52.8°Io, more than half of all
<br />households in the city. By comparison, the State of Texas had 37.1 percent of all households earning less
<br />than $20,000 in 1989. Household income data suggests housing and other services for low-to moderate-
<br />income families will likely be significant for the City of Paris.
