THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN IS DEVELOPED BASED ON THE <br />FOLLOWING LAND USE CLASSIFICATIONS. - <br />CITY OF PARIS FUTURE LAND USE PLAN MAP <br />LEGEND EXPLANATION <br />Low-Density Residential Development at densities of 1.5 to 5.0 acres per <br />lot; served by on site septic systems, or <br />community systems. <br />Moderate-Density Residential Residential development at densities of 2.5 to <br />4.0 units per acre, and up to 7.0 units per acre. <br />Higher-Density Residential Residential development at more than 7.0 units <br />per acre. <br />Office/Institutional District Institutional uses for primarily government and <br />educational purposes. Service-commercial, <br />office-commercial and semi-public institutional <br />uses, such as medical office complex; limited <br />light industrial uses within a unified district with <br />design standards to assure compatibility with the <br />service-commercial and office uses; limited <br />retail on conditions to support office uses. <br />Planned Development District Commercial or retail, housing, industrial, and <br />office or medical development with design <br />standards to assure transition to and protection <br />of the adjacent property, based on site plan <br />review approval. <br />Retail-Commercial Retail business uses, including shopping centers <br />and isolated retail establishments. <br />Light Industrial Industrial assembly and warehousing, with <br />limited manufacturing uses as defined in the <br />zoning regulations based on SIC codes. <br />Heavy Industrial Intensive land uses including manufacturing or <br />mining and quarrying land. <br />Parks/Linear Parks Park land and active recreation linkages from <br />one park to another park. <br />S:\98288\WPClfina1 report 2-01.doc 45 B WR <br />
