EXHIBIT "A" <br />COOPERATIreN AGREEMENT <br />This Agreement entered into b_y and between the Lamar County <br />(herein called the "county") and the City of Faris, Texas'(herein cal1ed the <br />"citv") WITNESSETH: <br />WNF-REAS, the county has entered into contr•act with the Department of Housing <br />arid Urban Development (DFIUD) to complete twerty (20) units of Section 8 <br />Moderate Rehabilitation Housing under DkIUD project number TX16-K499-006 <br />a copy of which is attached and made a par± of the contract hereto, and <br />WHEREAS, the county desires to provide the benefits of the Section 8 Moderate <br />Rehabilitation program to all county residPnts, including those resicling <br />within the city. <br />NOW THEREFORE 6E IT RESOLVED: <br />l. The Coun±y agrees to utilize a portion of its Section 8 Moderate <br />Rehabilitation units within the ;jurisdictional limits of the city. <br />2. The county aqrees that said units within the city will abide with city <br />building codes, permit requirements and other locally enforced regulations. <br />3. The city agrees that the Sectian 8 Moderate Rehabilitation program <br />would benefit 7ts residents and agrees to accept county units placed <br />within the city under the terms and conditions of the county's contract <br />with DHUC. <br />4. The city concurs that the ceunt_y's subcontract with the Ark-Tex Council <br />of Gover•nments will remain in fu11 force and effect far the duration of <br />the subcontract.
