~ <br />Adk Adik <br />RESOLUTION NO. -QO 6 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON THE <br />FIRST SATURDAY IN APRIL, 1983, SAME BEING THE 2ND DAY OF <br />APRIL, 1983, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 O'CLOCK A.M. AND 7:00 <br />0'CLOCK P.M,, BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF WARDS 4, 5 AND 7 OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING <br />THE COUNCILMEN FROM EACH OF SAID WARDS TO SERVE AS MEMBERS <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE ENSUING TWO YEARS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS: <br />Section 1. That an election be held by the qualified <br />voters of Wards 4, 5 and 7 of the City of Paris, Paris, <br />Texas, on the first Saturday in April, 1983, same beirig the <br />2nd day of April, 1983, between the hours of 7:00 o'clock <br />A.M. and 7:00 o'clock P.M., for the purpose of electing <br />three (3) members of the City Council of the City of Paris <br />for two year terms, as follows: <br />One Councilman from Ward Four (4) <br />One Councilman from Ward Five (5) <br />One Councilman from Ward Seven (7) <br />as provided in Paragraphs 2,3,5,6 and 7 of Order entered <br />March 15, 1976, in Civil Action No. P-75-3-CA, in the <br />District Court of the United States for the Eastern District <br />of Texas, Paris Division, and as provided in the Charter of <br />the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas wherein <br />they do not conflict with said Order. <br />Section 2. That the polling places and election <br />officials of such election shall be as follows: <br />WARD FOUR (4): <br />Polling Place: Oak Park United Methodist Church <br />2515 Bonham Street <br />Officials: Ruth E. Welch, Presiding Judge <br />Sally C. Hinds, Alternate Presiding Judge <br />WARD FIVE (5): <br />Polling Place: Central Fire Station <br />107 East Kaufman Street <br />Officials: Reinhardt Hollje, Presiding Judge <br />Patricia Hollje, Alternate Presiding Judge <br />WARD SEVEN (7): <br />Polling Place: First Christian Church <br />780 20th Street, N. E. <br />Officials: Maydell McCoy, Presiding Judge <br />L. E. Harty, Alternate Presiding Judge <br />Section 3. The Presiding Judge of the respective <br />voting boxes shall designate and appoint at least two (2) <br />and not more than four (4) competent and qualified clerks <br />for such respective polling places and voting boxes as may <br />be required for the efficient conduct of said election. <br />
