C. Construction - Completion Phase <br />(1) <br />Assist CITY in the preparation of formal <br />documents for contracts. <br />(2) <br />Consult and advise CITY. Issue all in- <br />structions to the contractor requested by <br />CITY and prepare routine change orders as <br />required. <br />(3) <br />Check and approve samples, catalog date, <br />schedules, shop drawings, laboratory, shop <br />and Mill tests ot material ar.d equipment and <br />other date which the Contractor is required <br />to submit, only for conformance with the <br />design concept of the project and compliance <br />with the information given by the Contract <br />Documents. <br />(4) <br />Nlake periodic visits to the site (as distin- <br />guished from the continuous services of a <br />Resident Project Representative) to observe <br />the progress and quality of the executed work <br />and to determine in general if the work is <br />proceeding in accordance with the Contract <br />Documents. <br />(5) <br />Prepare or verify monthly and final estimates <br />for payments to contractors and furnish to <br />CITY any necessary certifications as to <br />payment to sub-contractors and suppliers. <br />(6) <br />Conduct, in company with CITY, a final <br />inspection of the project for conformance <br />with the design concept of the project and <br />compliance with the Contract Documents, and <br />recomriend in writing final payment to the <br />contractors. <br />(7) Review contract drawings, with the assistance <br />of the Resident Project Representative, to <br />show the caork as actual7_y constructed. <br />3 <br />
