RESOLUTION N0. 2116 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in <br />Resolution No. 2086, on the 13th day of April, 1981, suspend <br />the schedule of rates filed by Texas Power & Light Company <br />on March 6, 1981, such suspension was for a period of 120 <br />days from April 11, 1981; a nd, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Paris that such schedule of rates be suspended <br />for an additional period of 30 days in order that the City <br />Council can determine what, if any, action should be taken <br />with regard to limiting the automatic adjustment, which <br />becomes a part of the rate payers bill, and to receive and <br />review the action taken by the Public Utility Commission of <br />Texas with regard to this rate in Docket No. 3780; and, <br />WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution has been provided <br />Texas Power & Light Company prior to its consideration by <br />the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That pursuant to Section 43(d) of the Public Utility <br />Regulatory Act, that the operation of the Texas Power & <br />Light Company's proposed rate schedules filed with the City <br />of Paris, Paris, Texas, on the 6th day of March, 1981, be, <br />and the same is hereby suspended for an additional period <br />of 30 days for further study,and receipt and examination of <br />the Public Utility Commission's Order entered on the 4th day <br />of August, 1981. <br />Passed and adopted this 5th day of August, 1981. <br />i y Burhett, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />~ <br />H.
