RESOLUTION N0. 2163 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris suffered a tornado dis- <br />aster on the 2nd day of April, 1982; and, <br />WHEREAS, the area of damage and destruction is defined <br />on Exhibit A attached hereto; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris having been declared by <br />the Governor of this State a natural disaster area, it would <br />be right and proper as authorized in Section 22.2 of the <br />Property Tax Code of the State of Texas to authorize re- <br />appraisal of all property damaged in this disaster at its <br />market value immediately after the disaster; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that the Tax Assessor of the City of Paris and the <br />Lamar County Tax Appraisal District, be, and they are hereby <br />authorized on behalf of the City of Paris to reappraise all <br />property damaged in the tornado disaster on the 2nd day of <br />April, 1982 at its market value immediately after such <br />disaster. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of April, 1982, <br />Billy Burnett, ayor <br />TAV <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />H.
