RESOLUTION N0. 2171 <br />WHEREAS, Section 7-3 of the Code of Ordinances of <br />the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, created the Committee of <br />Architectural Preservation of the Central Business District <br />of the City of Paris, to consist of seven (7) members as <br />follows: A member of the Downtown Development Association; <br />a member of the Visitors and Convention Council of the <br />Paris and Lamar County Chamber of Commerce; a practicing <br />Architect who is a member of the A.I.A. (American Institute <br />of Architects); a me.mber with nursery or landscape interest; <br />a mbmber of the Lamar County Historical Commission; and <br />two (2) members who are citizens of Lamar County; the initial <br />board to consist of four (4) members appointed for a two year <br />term and three (3) members appointed for a one year term, and <br />thereafter all appointments to be for two year terrns; and, <br />WHEREAS, Joe Graham, as member of the Visitors and <br />Convention Council of Paris and Lamar County Chamber of <br />Corimerce has resigned, and the terms of Cathie Spearman, as <br />a member of the Lamar County Historical Commission, and <br />Tallie Lipscomb and David Denney, as citizens of Lamar County, <br />will expire on June 30, 1982, and the Mayor of the City of <br />Paris, Joe Graham, having re-appointed Cathie Spearman Swaim, <br />as a member of the Lamar County Historical Commission and <br />David Denney, as a citizen of Lamar County and having appointed <br />Bob Burns as a citizen of Lamar County and W. C. Francis as <br />a member of the Visitors and Convention Council of Paris and <br />Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, to serve on the Committee <br />of Architectural Preservation of the Central Business District <br />of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning <br />July l, 1982 and ending June 30, 1984, and has submitted the <br />names of such persons to the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the re-appointments of Cathie Spearman Swaim, as a <br />member of the Lamar County Historical Commission and <br />David Denney, as a citizen of Lamar County and the appoint- <br />ments of Bob Burns as a citizen of Lamar County and W, C. Francis <br />as a member of the Visitors and Convention Council of Paris <br />and Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, to serve on the Committee <br />of Architectural Preservation of the Central Business District <br />of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning <br />July 1, 1982 and ending June 30, 1983, be, and the same are <br />hereby approved and confirmed by the City Council of the <br />City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of June, 1982. <br />QC-U A4L_~._ <br />J e Gra am, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />~ <br />H.
