PART II - TECHNICAL CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br />The Contractor shall furnish or provide all labor, equipment, <br />liability insurance, supervision and all other services and operations <br />involved in the excavating, transporting, and spreading of approximately <br />30,000 cubic yards of earth cover at the Paris Landfill. The excavation <br />site is located in the northern half of the portion of land known as <br />"Bulls 13.5 AC.", which is located in the north-east corner of the <br />Paris Landfill. (See Plate-2) The excavated material is to be spread <br />as cover over a portion of land located at the east end of the landfill, <br />generally encompassing but not limited to,the portion of land known <br />as "Bulls 40 AC.". (See Plate-2) Should the excavation site provide <br />more cover material than is required in the "Bulls 40 AC." location, <br />the remaining material will be spread as cover, in the northern part <br />of the portion of the landfill known as "Porter 46 AC." <br />Bidders are responsible for examining the work site and <br />specifications and for otherwise familiarizing themselves with the <br />work so as to be fully informed of all conditions affecting the work. <br />Work is to be paid on a cubic yard basis and the quantity to be moved <br />is subject to change. <br />B. CONTRACTOR LIABILITY <br />The Contractor assumes all liability for any death and/or personal <br />or property damage arising from his execution of the work. The City of <br />Paris assumes no liability for the actions or operations of the Contractor. <br />The City may however withhold final payment until all damage claims or <br />liens are settled. <br />II-1 <br />
