6.1.1 En~,,_ineer's Insurance - The Engineer shall acquire and <br />maintaiu statutory workne-n's compensation insurance <br />coverage, emVloyer's liability_and comprehensive <br />general liabillty iiisurance coverage, ($250,000/ <br />$500,000/$100,000). <br />6.1.2 Construction Contractor's Insurance - Prior to the <br />caminencenient of the construction work planned herein, <br />the Owner shall require the construction contractor <br />and any subcontractors to submit evicience that he <br />(they) tiave obtaitled for the period of the construction <br />ccntract ancl the guarantee periad, comprehensive <br />general liability insurance coverage (including - <br />completed operations coverage). This coverage shall <br />provide for boclily injury and property damage arising <br />directly or indirectly out of, or in connection with, <br />the performance of the work under the construction <br />contract, and Yiave a limit of not less than $500,000 <br />for all damages arising out of bodily injury, sickness <br />or death of one person and an aggregate of p,000,000 <br />for damages arising out of bodily injury, sickness <br />and death of two or more persons in any one•occur- <br />ence. The property dankzge portion wii 1 provide for a <br />limit of not less ttian $300,000 for all damages <br />ari.sing out of injury to or destruction of property <br />oC otlicrs arisii-ig clxrectly or indirectly out of or <br />in connection with the performance of the woric under <br />the Canstruction Cciltract and in any one occurence <br />including explosion, collapse, and underground <br />exposure. <br />Included in sucll coverage will be contractual coverage <br />sufficiently bzoad to insure the provision of para. <br />6.1.4. "TndenMit y". '1'he comprehens ive genera? 1 iabil ity <br />insurancc> will include as additional named insureds: <br />`l'he Owner; this E'ngir►cer; and each of their officers, <br />agents and ci~iployees. <br />6.1.3 13uilders Kislc "All Risk" Insur.ance - Before commEncement <br />oL the construction work, the Owner will require that <br />r_he Contiactor and any subcontractors submit written <br />eviricnce that he (they) have obtained for the pericd <br />of the construction contract, Builders Risk "Al1 Risk": <br />Completed Value Insurance Coverage (includir.g earth- <br />quake and flood) upon the entire project which is the <br />subJ'ect of tt~e contruction contract". Sucrl insurance <br />shall iuclude as additional insureds: <br />The Uwner; this L;ngirieer; and each of their officers, <br />agents, erapl.oyees atld any othEr persens with an insur- <br />able interest as may be designated by the Owner. <br />Such insur.ance may have a deductible clause, but not <br />to exceed $5,000, excePt that the earthquake deductib'Le <br />may bc! in acccrclance with generally accepted insurance <br />practiccs in tl:e 1_ocale wher.e the coverage is issued. <br />-12- <br />
